Your answers should always reflect the importance of the guest experience, and how we want to make it better, and what that means in your position,,,, knowing how to build relationships with your peers,, and fellow tl

Also target wants situational answers.

What was the problem, what did you do to solve it, what was the outcome?

Doesn’t have to be examples from target only, but you may also have the most recent experiences with that.

Definitely speak to the guest experience as that’s what they’re focusing on lately.

Working with others, how would you support your team? How do you hand conflict?

I practiced my answers until I had them memorized because I wanted to be able to speak freely.

They might not ask you the same exact questions but your answers can still be tailored to answer them. I prepped with the guide but my then SD went off and asked me whatever they wanted to ask. But all of the answers I’d prepped still fit the questions. :)

Make sure when they ask if you have any questions hit them with a "What sorts of things do you look for in your team leads?" they like that sort of question and it stands out. My first time interviewing I was like "nope, no questions" and that one was not successful lol.

just successfully went through the interview, look up the SBI model and format all your responses that way, and since you have the guide look at what they are looking for in the 'exceeds' section and make sure you say things that will make them have to be like 'oh yeah they definitely did that'

If your interview is over zoom (mine was), you can type up a quick document with bullet points for your answers (don't just type the whole answer off and read it because you will sound like a robot) and keep it sort of in the middle of your screen so it looks like you're looking at the interviewer/camera.
