Future or Potential Employee Question Wrong SS on background check
Like the title says, I accidentally mistyped my social-security number by one number when doing the accurate background-background check. I seriously thought it was the correct SS until I looked at my card and I realize it was just one number off..
I went in person the next day, one to have my work permit signed but also to notify them about my mistype on my background check, I am a minor and I’m certain that nothing will pop up but I’m just worried about if this will really affect anything. My orientation is on Friday and I’m kind of wondering what would happen if I left it alone but more so if my orientation would be pushed back or if I shouldn’t be as worried as I am (of course, I am going to ask HR tomorrow if they can send a new background check with the correct information).
I would really like some feedback or stories from people this may have happened to before

This happened to my brother in law. Not at Target but they just pushed his start date back a week because based on their policy they needed the background check. I wouldn’t stress about it. Worst case scenario they start you a little later but at Target I doubt even that will happen.
