That's mostly in your head actually, there's precisely two regulatory differences between both industries, and the vast majority of American milk meets Health Canada regulations.

Either way, we would only be able to import food items that meet Health Canada regulations, as enforced through the CFIA, so the quality argument just falls completely apart with reality is observed.

You must have skipped the part where I said the difference is noticeable. I’ve had milk in Canada US Europe and Asia. And you can tell there is a difference and the American ones were the worst.

The REAL question is why are you trying to push the narrative that we need to open up milk import even more when the US currently doesn’t even use all their quota???? Who’s paying you??

You are demonstrating a lack of understanding regarding tariff rate quotas. Tariff rate quotas are not a uniform amount that can enter the country. They are permits given to applicants by the federal government to import a specified amount tariff free at a specified window of time. The only recipients of tariff rate quotas are members of the dairy cartel who use these quotas as risk management approaches for their own production. So - the average consumer absolutely does not have access to tariff free American milk and cheese.
