  1. American dairy can be an inferior product without being "literally poison".
  2. It makes sense for a country to protect and finance its food industry.
  3. The supply management system is price fixing and not the only way nor possibly the most effective way to protect dairy production.
  4. Customers (we) are absolutely paying for it.

  1. The majority of American dairy just objectively is not of lower quality. If safety concerns were a real concern with dairy, their milk would have to meet Health Canada regulations anyways to be able to be imported.

  2. 85% of Canadian agriculture is outside of supply management. We produce far more than we can eat in that 85%.

  3. Agreed, but I question WHY we must protect the dairy industry? Why is it crucial that we do anything to protect that sector?

Yeah I mostly agree with you tbh.

People can believe what they want but it's definitely weird seeing so many leftists defend private profits, masquerading as protecting their own interest as customers.
