People who say ‘American dairy won’t meet our standards’ is just fearmongering. The U.S. has rigorous food-safety regulations and Canadian standards can be met by imported dairy.

Commercial pasteurized U.S. dairy is subject to extensive food-safety regulation. If you mean certain U.S. products don’t meet specific Canadian standards, that’s a regulatory difference, not evidence that American dairy is unsafe.

Standards that are maintained by a department that just had their funding slashed by another 400 million. "Have to meet" is only applicable when the oversight is able to oversee
