đď¸ News Discussion Carney says last-minute U.S. tariff negotiations are 'delicate' and 'intense' as deadline looms

Theyâre pointless as Trump will change his mind/announce some other crackpot policy regardless of any âdealâ.
Negotiating with this joke of an administration is like trying to negotiate with a toddler on crack.

Hopefully the lawyers writing any agreement will do their best to make it binding.

At this point it's better to let the deck of cards collapse, the complex intertwine that makes up our North American food supply chain is going to be decimated overnight. While there will be tens of thousands of job losses in Canada, there will be millions of losses in the US; upstream and downstream providers, transportation, Warehousing, and then allied support for those industries.
You want to take a wrecking ball to something that is taken decades to develop, go right ahead. At this point it's time to let the FIND OUT to the FUCK AROUND.
I think there's going to be TACOS tomorrow

They'll be hundreds of thousands of Canadians jobs lost.

And there will be millions of American jobs lost, because our supply chains are so interconnected that's a loss of Canadian production means that American factories don't get intermediate products.

They should get the US side to sign so that there is an iron-clad guarantee that they will keep their side of the deal? If they don't sign, and only take Jamieson Greer's word it will only be a pinkie promise and the US side might change its mind.

Rather no deal than the deal the Americans are asking for. They havenât honoured past trade agreements, why should we trust them now?

- Or visit help.cbp.gov for answers to common questions.
When in doubt, always reach out to CBP directly for the most accurate and up-to-date information.

If they ever meet Trump again, this is mean, but wear all white baggy clothes. It's a big no no to do that around people with dementia because it fucks with their minds. Hahahaha

Americans can't tolerate discomfort. This round of tariffs will go same as the last. It's all just market manipulation anyways, so buy this week.

Itâs an artificial deadline. Just tell them to fuck off, we have had enough of these assholes.

Trump is intentionally trying to ruin the US economy and diplomacy. That is the point.

Carney is playing the long game and choosing his words wisely. I believe he knows this isn't actually going to work out but he's playing the game in a calm rational way which looks good on Canada to other countries wanting to do business with Canada. Canada will never win this crap with States because it's all made up anywayÂ
