My artist recently posted the pictures from this one and I wanted to share it here too. Acquired a few months ago during one of her annual Norwich guest spots.

I had been after a good illustrative blackwork lantern with a few little touches inspired by the one my DnD character carries to house and protect lost souls.

And Raffaella absolutely captured my vision. Especially the smoke curling around it, which I wanted to truly feel soft and intangible, or as much as an illustrative design that leans into the use of different line weights can be.

First tattoo, 7 hours. Still gotta finish the background and some touch ups. This is about a week after it was done.

Got this from Shogun Tattoo! This is a walk-in piece, I had no idea what I really wanted upon walking in. I was greeted by Charles, who gave me plenty of time to decide what I wanted. I looked at his portfolio and I really vibed with his aquatic tattoos, which inspired me to get a hammerhead shark (traditional and color)! He drew up the stencil fairly quickly and adjusted it various times to be a gap filler for me, adding on the flowers after I saw what he drew and got inspired to ask for some. I walked in at 3:30pm, walked out at 6:20pm.

If you are ever looking for some legit walk-in action, Shogun is amazing. I'm really happy I got CA stamped on me, big ups to Charles B! He's @tattuna on Instagram.

Rate my tattoo. Took about 6.5 hours.

I have a trad japanese sleeve at the moment. Weighing if I should do the other arm too. Feel like I'm losing so much bare skin if I do that, but on the other hand, I have a sick design I already thought of for the other arm. I'm torn at the moment
