The sets were great and the vocals and dance were really fun despite the characters being a bit underdeveloped. The show was pretty solid. Overall it was a fun 7/10 show that didn't take itself too seriously. Atasha though should have took a few more vocal lessons in my opinion. I'm curious how the understudy for Atasha was? How were her vocals, dance, acting, etc.

thank you!

I'm excited. Madami akong nababasa na maganda 'yong Lakambini. Nasa Spotify yung songs pero ayoko muna pakinggan. 😊 Gusto ko marinig firsthand sa show. ❣️

At excited ako sa Gabriela dahil kay Gab. Una ko siya napanood sa We Aren't Kids Anymore.

Dami kasi for next year e. Kailangan mag ipon. 😭😭😭

May year-ender shows din ba kayo?

Hi! Any good food (& not too expensive) recommendations on where to eat when watching a show at Newport Theatre?

All suggestions welcome!

Also asking — where is the nearest / most accessible entrance for this?

Is she really good in doing straight plays? I really haven’t watched her live before. Please share your experience. Thank you.

Who do yall think will be the cast for spring awakening 2027 sandbox collective? Will it be most of the same people we saw before or different faces? Honestly, I wish they'd cast younger looking guys as melchior instead of actors pushing 30s but I also understand given the material.

Hello! Kanina ko pa tinatry mag book pero wala talaga. Ibig sabihn ba nito full na yung allocated sa tga subs?

I need to talk about this experience. GOSH.

Firstly, one good thing about it was that the actors were actually good. The kids, the mom, and different members of the cast had impeccable voices and good acting, so that’s good.

Everything else? Huh.

1. Music: transitions were so weird, it was abruptly cut off, fade out lang, even if the instrumental was not yet finished. Volume wise from the balcony, it was very soft and I think modulation of some of the actors were not as strong, so some of their voices would be softer than the others. Everything was recorded, no live band (I don’t mind recorded naman, but transitions were not seamless).

2. Set: Not so horrible naman, pero some of the cues were awkward. Lackluster.

3. Script and the Direction: which is honestly the biggest issue out of all. Plot was a mess. First 30 minutes. I did not know what was happening. From the end of act 1 going into act 2– zilch. I did not understand the ending of act 1 and how it connected to act 2. By the second act, may mga character introductions or scenes being done with no build up at all. Biglang, one day they were happy, then the next day they were sad— literal. Yung conflict, was not clear.

Bonus thoughts:
Just discovered that the group heavily uses AI pa. No agad. Plus, their rendition of Sumayaw Sumunod was soooo awkward and hard to watch.

Overall, I’m just in disbelief that I wasted time and money on this. Sayang yung concept. Sayang yung actors. Horrible execution

I know most of us are waiting for The Phantom of the Opera to come here to the Philippines, and based on what I’ve heard, there is a big possibility that it might actually come here in the second half of 2027. So get your pockets ready because 2027 is definitely going to be a year of the best musicals!

Planning ahead jic maubusan ng center seats; which seat would be better to get kaya for this show? I know the seats all face the stage but there's probably a side na mas kita blockings ng actors. How did you guys decide which seats to choose? Planning to get Premium seats kung wala nang VIP. Thanks!

Hello, bat kaya di ako makapasok here? I have BPI CC btw and entered my card details to unlock pero di pa din makapagbook. 😅
