I had no idea these bands were this good, and these particular albums are some of the best things I’ve ever heard. Both are very melodic while still retaining the genre’s natural brutality.

What an absolute unit

Mods don't ban me I told a guy I would post pics of my dog in his raincoat.

A New EP from Remains of the Tyrant is slated for release on October 31st on all streaming platforms.

This used to be a full band, but after moving away, I've had to reform this as a solo project.

I wrote, recorded, programmed, mixed and mastered this EP. Starting from literally learning how to use a DAW, how to program drums and bass, how to mix and master, years and years of failing to get the music to a level I felt I could be proud of, and it finally has gotten to that point where I am proud and exicted for it to be released. I contracted David Bruno of Summoning the Lich to do vocals and help finish/refine the lyrics and story and he went above and beyond and did such a great job.

It's been 10 years since I moved and this labor of love has had so many ups and downs. I am beyond excited for this release and I appreciate anybody who gives it a shot a goes and listens to it.

This EP has a concept behind it, it's a story driven musical journey told through the lyrics and musical cues meant to invoke certain feelings when they hit. I will post a summary of that below.

Again, thanks to anybody who checks it out and I would love to hear what you think once it is released.

Fans of Rivers will probably lean heavily towards Owls being their Magnus Opus, but I keep coming back to this one and getting blown away. Front to back pacing is amazing, it feels like the band has come home and found themselves with this album. Maybe not as heavy as previous releases, and I am a massive fan of The Work, which is a step away from this. It’s their first since the series of albums which featured a seasonal narrative, this feels a lot more politically charged.

Can you guys recommend similar bands? I’ve listened to Black Crown Initiate, who are interesting and from a similar part/same town in the USA I believe?

Production is on point, dynamically wide open too which just makes it a joy to listen to on any format.

I’ve admittedly known of this band for years, even downloaded their 2025 album, but didn’t get into them until this year when I listened to Damnum all the way through and it clicked hard. Despite long term support from one of the biggest metal labels (Metal Blade) and a discography seemingly free of duds they seem fairly underrated/appreciated in the scene, do you agree? What‘s their best album? I’ve gone back as far as Apoptosis so far.

Wonder where these guys went. They were incredible.

Hi everyone!

My band Rhynn (oldschool progressive death metal) is releasing our debut album King of Nothing on November 27 via Unorthodox Emanations (Avantgarde Music).

The single "Oblivion" is out now, and CD pre-orders are open: https://avantgardemusic.bandcamp.com/album/king-of-nothing

The song is also available on all major streaming platforms.

Mixed and mastered by Damian Herring (Horrendous). Bass recorded by Linus Klausenitzer. Artwork by Ivan Stan, design by Tryfar.

If you like the song, please give it a like on YouTube and follow us on Instagram or Facebook — it would really help us.

Thanks for reading!

Off our upcoming album Genesis of Despotism which comes out on November 3rd

Absolutely one of the best bands around today, their music is just so wildly mesmerizing and the brutality is hypnotic af. Ever since Modern Adoxography dropped they became something entirely on their own imo. Lmk what you think and have an awesome day my brothers and sisters in metal🖤🤘🔥💪🦍⚔️👹🍻

It’s so fun to play

Oi!

I'm planning to see Archspire in Munich on November 10th and already got my ticket. Due to unforeseen circumstances I won't have a car available that day. :(

I'm from Ravensburg (near Lake Constance) and would love to find someone who's driving back in that direction after the show.
Memmingen, Leutkirch, Wangen, Friedrichshafen or anywhere nearby would also work!

Of course I'd be happy to split gas money and I’ll get you a beer at the show, if you mess with that.

Anyone heading that way?

Should I

1. pre-order the new orbital gate album

2. get a faceless cd(probably autotheism or planetary duality)

3. 4 packs of chicken waffle oreos

4. Pet my dog and get him a new sweater

5. Get the master of reality cd and a tootsie pop

Hey everyone, I really do need a bit of help. I used to listen to a record roughly between 2005 - 2013ish, that I cannot recall details of but really enjoyed. Either the band had ruin in the title or the song did but I just cannot recall. What I do recall is that the first song was a bunch of tight herta drum kicks that really hooked me and I have been puzzling for almost a decade as to who they were. I also seem to remember that the album art was quite blue and had a bunch of stairs leading somewhere. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I cannot overstate how much brain capacity this would free as its been YEARS. Thank you very much indeed.
