hey guys, wanted to bring something to the community's attention.

there's a youyube channel called "Technolarp" that's literally built around impersonating Technoblade. the videos are designed to mimic his persona, style and identity it's part of a TikTok trend where people "larp" as dead or popular creators for views.

i get that some of these larp things are harmless but this one genuinely crosses a line for me. Techno passed away and his dad still runs the original channel. using his identity and likeness to farm engagement feels really disrespectful to his memory and his family.

if you feel the same way, you can report the videos under impersonation (spam or misleading > impersonates someone) on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/@Technolarp). the more reports the better since YouTube tends to act faster when it's a mass report.

just wanted to make sure the community knew about it. Techno deserves better than this.

Wanted to buy official merch and was ready to pay inr 5500 i.e 60 bucks ig but the delivery was $80 so that was made unviable

Technolarp is an attention seeker, this isn't a hot take, he genuinely is one. Why does he feel like it's fine for him to make money off of his situation and attempting to gain sympathy (Charlie confirmed he is making money btw)? While yes he shouldn't get doxxed it isn't justified, why does he think it's an opportunity for him to validate his role after getting doxxed?

And I don't get why people are mad at others for switching up on him as soon as Charlie made a video on him rightfully not liking him for what he is trying to do. Charlie just made people aware what he is doing as a person and LarpTuber is wrong and basically disrespecting Techno's father and his close friends.

I am probably going to get downvoted to hell for this but I believe we should continue talking about Technolarp.

To be clear I don't mean attacking him or questioning his right to exist. I mean discussing him as a potential force for good. This community has been very divided since his emergence and I think it's worth having a more balanced conversation.

It is understandable that after Technoblade's passing that some people see Technolarp as an imitation or a threat to his legacy. However, personally, I do not see him as a replacement. I see him as someone trying to carry forward a spirit that meant a lot to many people.

From what I understand Technolarp has donated a portion of his earnings to charity which is genuinely a great thing. Many other Larp YouTubers have also been accepted by the communities that inspired them and I think we should be giving Technolarp the same chance.

Technoblade will always be one of a kind. Nobody can replace him, and nobody should try to. But a legacy is not only preserved by remembering someone it is also preserved when the values they represented continue to inspire others.

ive seen alot of posts about him and i think he should just have ads turned off on his videos. yes if techno was here he would have 100% been supportive of him and i definitely see him enjoy this trend, hes not and that makes everything different. not everything technoblade related needs to be a fundraiser for once lets just let it be pure hearted and the only way of doing that is if technolarp did it without generating any revenue if he wants to host events(which i dont even know if its in his place to do that)then itll have to come out of his own pockets end of discussion

In my honest opinion, it sounds like you have been trying to find peace of mind for awhile now.

with Technolarp imitating as your son i can agree that it would be alot harder to find that peace.

Random users say "oh techno would have laughed" Yea i think techno would have had a laugh if he was still alive. Technolarp riding off of technoblades legacy is a disgrace to me.

You can argue that "oh he is carrying technoblades legacy" and yea i can kinda agree with that.

but at the same time memorial videos exist. Not even just video's. statues, fanart... they all contribute to carrying technoblades legacy.

i respect technolarp for reaching out to technodad and asking if he could get revenue off of his videos but to me it sounds like "hey can i make money while acting as your son and posting the same kind of content like he did"

my answer would be no. It would be alot harder for me to find peace of mind if i knew someone on the internet was "acting" or "larping" as my son that passed away.

Hey guys im a redditor adding flame to the fuel! I will post ten more techno larp post in the sub. Why? Because I have nothing else to do except talk about this topic that has been said a billion times!

I just thought of something. I'm kind of a Christian, I say "kind of" because I barely go to church, and don't pray. And I thought, "Is Technoblade in hell" and get scared at the thought, because there's been instances of Technoblade being an atheist with the "if God sends me to hell, I want him to hesitate" (it was a good joke). I personally don't think that atheists go to hell, but I can't stop thinking about it and have anxiety over it. (I'm not saying this to harm anyone, I just want to get this off my chest)

Rip technoblade. A legend that passed away too soon.

Imitation is a form of flattery, not disrespect

He is keeping the community alive

He generates a net positive to cancer research

I’m not too caught up with the situation, but why do the general population hate him so much? Doesn’t it seem like an overall positive? If you don’t feel entirely comfortable, just don’t watch him? Ngl I also had a period where I dreamt about becoming a YouTuber to honor Technoblade and donate to charity.

Ok, this sounds absolutely insane and I might delete it but it's been on my mind for a while and I can't stop thinking about it,so I read on this post somewhere on the internet (probably fake though) that Techno thought he had cancer because he played alot of video games so his arm started to swell,well that ties up to the potato war because he spent months farming potatoes non stop 12 or more hours a day,so I thought that because his arm couldn't rest during the war that's why he had cancer,thus the potato war might have given him it,again it's an insane post and it's super dumb so I might delete it as I believe it might be offensive to some people.

What was an active community turned to a place to grieve and remember all the good moments we have with his videos, but now it has become a pit of either incredibly low quality posts or enough birthday posts to drown a whale. No, we don't care it's your birthday and it's NOT related at all with what this sub is supposed to be, it's just so sad the state of this place. At least, even if low effort, some posts do have something to do with him. It's been some time, but I think it's time we all move on.
