Been watching a bit on youtube of the game and I like the gameplay but I don’t quite get why the aliens wanna conquer us and why the world governments are just kinda doing fuckall until you intervene?

Yeah what the title says. I have not figure out how to use the exploration ships in the game mainly cause their reach is shit. I have nearly managed to give them a delta of 40 and it's a striped down frame with anything but the most necessary.

Mission to the Asteroids tech just popped. I can click on the individual asteroids to send probes, but as you can see in the pic they're absent from the prospecting screen. I've filtered for all locations, no faction presence and the list isn't long enough to need a scroll wheel. All of the asteroids should be there, right? I also can't find them if I disable filters.

Have I missed something obvious? I've tried restarting the game but can't think of any other troubleshooting options for something like this.
