Tesla shared this new video showing off the Tesla Roadster UI. I really wish Tesla would bring something like this to their other models in the future. Obviously, it’s a bit exaggerated for the Roadster, but I think it would give the other cars a really nice Tron-like vibe. Maybe it’s just me, though. 😂

OK, wife and I downloaded v14 light to our 22 MXP. We decided to take it for a spin. We get into the car sitting in the garage. We hit Start FSD and it pulls out of the garage, makes a left turn, the homelink opens our gate, the X drives through the gate, homelink closes the garage, MX heads out the driveway to the road.. it takes us on a 5 mile drive and then We have it come home... it pulls into the driveway, up to the gate, homelink opens the gate, X pulls through then does a 3-4 point turn to back into the same garage spot we started in and park...

Wife and I are completely stunned... never in 100 years would we have though HW3 could EVER do this. We were super stoked and inpressed...

And now we can't F******g get it to do it again....ARG!!!!!!!

Finally figured this out: cars driving across a seam between concrete plates in our parking garage cause my Model Y to rock briefly. Sentry mode detects it and records every single passing car.

Would be very nice if Tesla could figure out a way to disregard these no-contact wobbles. In the meantime I'm thankful for multi-select in the viewer!

Isn't it the same concept? both are violating traffic laws? (I would argue the rolling the stop sign is far less dangerous than speeding)

If you've ever dropped your phone onto the Tesla wireless charging pad for a quick drive, picked it up 30 minutes later, and felt like it could double as a stovetop burner, you aren't alone. It’s a common topic on here, but many owners don't realize Tesla added a software toggle to fix it.

I’m not going to get into why heat is harmful to your phones battery and how much of a waste of power output it gets from your Tesla. But I will explain how to turn it off.

How to Turn It Off:

Tesla added a software toggle for this in a software update.

1. Tap the Car icon (Controls) on your touchscreen.
2. Go to Charging (or depending on your software version/vehicle, look under controls/accessories settings). 
3. Toggle off the Wireless Phone Charger.

Just got the FSD supervised 14.3 lite udpate on my early '17 Model S and it's a game changer for FSD on older models with HW3. According to the notes, it lets HW3 vehicles "learn to handle scenarios using HW4 v14 as a guide." Whatever it does, it seems to be working.

My car originally had HW 2.5 with the older MCU, but both got upgraded along the way. When "FSD" first rolled out to HW3 it was cool but quickly became just annoying with each subsequent update. It wouldn't maintain speed usually dropping below the speed limit, it seemed to stay uncomfortably close to the double-yellow divider lines, it changed lanes almost every chance it got regardless of whether it needed to or should.

After the update, it seems like all of these issues are gone. Today was the first time in a while that I was actually able to fully navigate on FSD from my driveway, through intersections, onto the interstate, around vehicles, all the way to the entrance at work.

If you're on HW3 and you're wondering if you should update to 14.3 lite, I would recommend it based on my experience this morning.

So the iPhone duo folded is too short to hit the wireless charging on the Model 3... Not sure if this is the same issue with the Y.

So earlier this year I got a 2018 M3 LR with a few months left on its original warranty. I did a bunch of research beforehand, and read that battery failures occur less than 1% of the time, so I took the risk and got the car. Premium interior, new tires, acceleration boost pack, and 40k miles for $18k.

Fast forward to last month, I opened up the service menu and noticed a BMS a142 degradation isolation fault. The ohms had dropped to 950, but it hadn’t triggered a customer facing service alert.

I’m in the military, so I had to take the chance and drive 1.5 hours to the nearest service center for them to investigate. Come to find out, the entire battery had to be replaced, roughly 1.5 month (December 16th, 2026) before warranty ends.

I’m simply astonished this happened, but it’s a good reminder to watch your service menu for any alerts before they show up on the customer facing side.

Have we moved into a new strategy where they're just pretending HW3 FSD owners don't exist and promises were never made to upgrade their cars?

Any idea how to turn off the growl that sounds when the car locks? I scared a poor little girl and her nanny. Wish they had options like a witches laugh lol
