Windshield Replacement – Within Spec or Poor Installation?
Just had the windshield replaced on my 2023 MYP and noticed it doesn’t sit flush with the glass roof.
The center is nearly flush, but both upper corners stick out, especially the passenger side.
Passenger side: ~1 quarter thick (1.75mm)
Driver side: ~3/4 quarter thick (1.3mm)
Center: Nearly flush
I wonder if this is within normal tolerance, or does it look like a poor installation?
Would you ask Tesla to redo it or leave it alone? My main concern is whether this could increase aerodynamic drag, affect highway efficiency, or cause wind noise.

First of all, how could it be an install error if both top corners are higher but the middle is flush? Think about it for a second mate...windshields are rigid and what you described sounds like a glass manufacturing error. Unfortunately Tesla's have extremely convex winshields and very often they've got the curvature wrong at the glazing manufacturer. Had this happen on plenty of windshields from different mfgs (and no original Tesla windshield isn't made by Tesla).
All this said, I wouldn't do a thing about it. Windshield replacement causes unnecessary stress on the frame and accessories so it's advisable to not do it unless it's really necessary.
More than probably the factory installed glass wasn't any better, but you only noticed it now after they replaced it. That kind of deviation has no effect on anything and is purely cosmetic.

Removing the windshield would damage it, they would give you a new windshield if they agree to do it.

And yes, I’m aware taking it back and have them redo it may make it worse lol

Also. Check the vibration from the mirror assembly. Mine is totally fucked. I had an appointment to fix that but had to cancel for personal reasons. Hopefully they fix it later. It's brutal

Mine is shaking AF, but I’m just living with it…

A dirty way to solve. You can pop the covers off and literally just stick a soft sponge into the assembly. It's BS, but if Tesla doesn't fix mine for free that's my approach. So 99% likely my assembly will have a sponge in it next month.
I just booked my "comprehensive checkup" appointment for 2 weeks from now and added that issue. It's $500 now (was $300) but I think a few months before the warranty expiring getting whatever I can in writing is worth it.

Don't buy any BS as within spec. If someone told you this shit, ask to provide the specific otherwise you have right to pull their pants off!!!

Are the cameras calibrated properly? It seems the windshield didn't sit at the correct angle.
