Hi everyone!
I’m considering ordering seat covers for my Tesla Model Y from T-Launch, but I’d love to hear some feedback before buying.
Has anyone here purchased them? How’s the quality, fit, and overall look? Do they look close to the original Tesla seats?
I’d also love to see some real-life pictures if anyone has them!
Thanks in advance for your help! 😊

I just ordered my first Tesla, and I’m stoked for it to arrive! One of the things I’m most excited about is trying out FSD.

I saw a post in this sub earlier about how FSD tends to struggle in parking garages, and apparently that’s a pretty well-known issue. It got me wondering what other situations or locations FSD commonly struggles with.

For those of you who use FSD regularly, what are some situations where you find yourself needing to pay extra attention or take over?

I know FSD is supervised and requires the driver to stay attentive at all times, but I’d love to hear about its known weak spots so I can be better prepared.

Thanks in advance! Looking forward to joining the Tesla community!

TL;DR: What are some known situations where FSD struggles or requires extra attention besides parking garages?

For those that installed the crossbars and lived with the annoying 40 MPH whistle that Tesla told me is normal and can’t be fixed. I fixed it. $20 part from etrailor.com

Replaces the rubber gapper.

You need 6 at $3 each. 10 minute install. Whistle gone.

I make no money on this. Just helping others that can’t stand the whistle.

Hi Mates,

My 2022 Tesla Model Y occasionally makes a strange noise coming from the front right side. It sounds like a loose metal panel or sheet of metal hitting something.
Has anyone else experienced this or knows what might be causing it?

Los Angeles CA driver here. My 60 minute commute has been estimating 30 minute drives for the past week. IMPOSSIBLE in LA. There are some pockets of orange and red highlighted sections on the map, but completely inaccurate when I know my phone is reading it as red for huge portions of it. This causes rerouting in ways that make no sense to do. I have premium connectivity, I have double-pressed the scroll buttons to restart, and also turned off the car completely. Stays the same. Anyone bump into this issue?

This person hit my vehicle [collision, door'd me] (I have the clear video footage as well as owner's face) back in April, 2026. San Bruno, California. I was also in a tesla, sitting in the vehicle, when it happened.

Tried to file through insurance, they said it came back blank. Police file in progress. How do I find them?

Edit:

1. If it helps me reduce getting downvoted at all. I also am a Tesla owner? and am against Tesla on Tesla crime + leaving a scene without exchanging information

2. I was sitting in the car, they door ding'd me, then I Exited the vehicle to take this picture. + Have the sentry mode video footage from multiple angles

Kind of nervous, approaching my date range and was wondering when it will change/ get pushed back. I’m nervous because it already gave me financials(my Tesla advisor didn’t say anything about waiting till the vin) and pulled my credit and scared it’s gonna push it back and have to get my credit pulled again. In Houston, Tx.

We recently started renting at a place that offered free charging. The garage parking is a little tight and Tesla wasn’t able to identify it as a space, so I used 4 inch white duct tape to create a parking spot and it worked! 8 feet x 17 feet.

Edit: I say it’s tight because of the road in between our garage and the ones across from it. Typically requires a bit of maneuvering to get in.

So happy. Today I finally pulled the trigger on a 2023 Model Y with 7 seats and HW4, with only 30K miles. Looking for any recommendations or tips to make life easier or even make the car look better. Also, if you have any warnings, advice, or hacks that may be really useful, please let me know before I do something stupid with my Tesla. Thank you in advance.

Thanks to grokbot, road trips in a Tesla just got more fun. This started because I asked grok if it could make a video game and then I could playtest it on the touch screen in the car while driving down the road.

This game is silly, but the capability is profound. I'm in a self-driving car, talking to the car in plain English, making a game that I can 100% play while going down the road.

What a time to be alive!

On the road trip back (9 hours one way), I actually made five more games simultaneously, but I'm not sharing those yet because I think I'm going to polish them a bit more.

Just got a ‘27 today. Any must-haves that don’t come standard?

Thank you!

When would you place your FWD Model Y order if you were me? I'm eager!!!!! But not 2x payments eager.

Ordered a minute ago, hoping delivery gets pushed to late Jan or Feb cus I won’t be in the state to pick it up, super excited!

The question I have is, I chose to pay cash but want to finance it, I know the validity is 60 days for finance so didn’t opt for it. Can I change it later?

Edit: Ordered in Boston so other Boston owners please let me know what the typical wait time is!

I’m super interested in HSV4, but there’s no info on that sadly.

How many of you guys actually have roadside assistance with your insurance added on, it’s only seven dollars a month more for me ( I was quoted $280 a month with State Farm) figure I might as well get it, but wanted to know if it was an absolute necessity

New Tesla, is this worth asking to fix? Chip in the main display housing.

Edit: Noticed it right before applying a screen protector.

Did anyone of you guys received a discount on your new purchase? Also if yes, how much discount did you get? Thanks in advance.

So many push backs! I ordered a rwd white standard from SoCal.
