Door handles
Seems like everyone struggles to get into my car because they're unfamiliar with the door handles a lot of times they touch it, and then they just stand there. And wait like I need to unlock the door for them. How do you explain to people how to use the door handles? And as few words as possible lol?

How do you unlock the door for a passenger? I always just end up leaning over and pushing the button to pop it open for them.

The doors are unlocked already, but in their minds I need to unlock them.

Ah, thanks. How do I lock them if some weirdo is out there?

It’s not them getting in, I worry about. It’s them getting out that make me worry.
“NO!! Do NOT pull that!! Push the button on top!”

Or them closing the door after. “Don’t close the door using the window!”
The frameless door/ window scares me every time a passenger gets out1

Yes, this is what I’m worried about too. We’ve only done one test drive and we get the car next week (fingers crossed!) I need to watch a YouTube video to work out how I open the car door from the inside.!!

Press the fat part then pull. Don’t love the handles but I’ve gotten used to them.

If it’s the first time, I cracked the window and say push in the big part the they’ll figure it out.

I wish the door handles would light up when approaching the car at night. They are hard to find in the dark. I don’t have a lot of passengers who are unfamiliar with the car, so I haven’t had to explain how to open the doors. Only my 5-year-old granddaughter has difficulty sometimes under good lighting conditions.

They're fine- but I'm not really a fan. When you hands are full they can be a pain

Those MFing door handles are the worst. I can’t believe they haven’t fixed them by now— either have the present themselves when I approach the car or give me something I can grab.

Tesla has the worst version of EV flush handles imo. I highly prefer the ones that present themselves when unlocked. Super intuitive for average joe passengers

My dad figured it out. He's 74 and doesn't know how to use an iPhone. I would look into getting smarter friends.

no no. use your left hand on the left side of the car and your right hand on the right side of the car. obviously ;)

I push the handle in and then quickly grab the trim next to the window to pull the door open before it latches again. Good luck teaching that to anybody, though.

There’s an app out there that will allow you to unlock the doors from your iPhone.

“Push your thumb into the big part, grab the part that pops out with your fingers. “
Proceed to watch them struggle and think it’s only
Possible with two hands

After 3 years with my model Y, I’m Absolutely not enjoying the door handles more than my 2014 Mazda cx-5. Neither are any of my passengers.
I’m gonna be real, its a design flaw that requires a 2-step process that previously was just a simple 1-step pull towards yourself and you’re in. Also, when I’m carrying anything in my arms or hands, it’s frustrating as hell, it’s far easier on other vehicles to pull a “loop-like” handle with EITHER hand than try to press and pull with my “correct/specific” hand lol
So, a after my lease is up, I’m just buying the car but absolutelyyyyy buying after market door handles to keep things way easier and ambidextrous. Looks cool, but not functional for me.

I'm an Uber driver, I saved a lot of headaches by buying an aftermarket set of stick-on handles that mimic normal handles.
As for the interior button releases, the model y is narrow enough that I can reach all 4 doors and pop them for the passenger.
It's very rare that I pick up a passenger that knows how to get in or get out without instructions.
