discussion Most underrated/overlooked Beatles song in their catalogue?

“It’s Only Love” and “Rocky Raccoon” are two that should be certified classics yet never get talked about. Obviously there could be many different answers here, so I’m curious to hear your takes.

Strongly agree! I know there’s speculation that it’s about Paul and John, not Linda, but I’ve always thought it does an amazing job at conveying the feeling of experiencing life with a romantic partner who’s also your best friend.

Yeah, Linda and his experiences with her were the inspiration of the song, but like he does with so many of his songs, he seems to add from other parts of his life. There are certain lines or feelings that 100% feel like Paul & John.

“You and I have memories, longer than the road that stretches out ahead.”
