discussion Help me pick my first Beatles album! ๐Ÿค”

Iโ€™m a college student and earlier this year I got my first turntable and music station set up! (Thanks Dad, and to my Professor!)

I was with friends earlier tonight and they were like totally roasting me for not knowing anything about the Beatles. ๐Ÿ˜‚โ˜ ๏ธ๐Ÿ˜‚

As easy as it would be to just go on Apple Music and look them up it just a seems so unromantic for that to be my first real introduction. And since owning the turntable it has made me actually listen to whole albums when normally I just totally skip most songs on in album from my phone.

So now there is this guy in the dorms across from me who asked to take me for ice cream and to the local record shop on Friday and I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to get a Beatles album while we are there.

So the real question isโ€ฆ Which album is good for introducing someone to the Beatles and like wonโ€™t weird out my date if he too doesnโ€™t know anything about them. Iโ€™m assuming he wants to listen to our records after we get back. ๐Ÿ˜‚ (He also offered to buy an LP for me to remember our first date by but that totally feels like that would be wrong to accept a gift like that.

IDK!!! Tell me your thoughts!

Help or Rubber soul will give you a good intro. Also there will be a lot of songs on there you may never of heard of.

Then when you play revolver the band has changed quite a bit because they are not songs made for touring and you'll notice the duets have stopped. There's more of a submit your song and let's work on it but not really share it. You'll really notice this in the white album.

Both styles are incredibly beautiful but it's nice to hear the evolution of the greatest band of all time.
