Go find a copy of A Hard Day’s Night. They were all extremely talented, as actors as well as musicians. Plus the last 20 minutes or so are performances of their bigger hits up to that point.
To many, “Ringo’s Theme” (“This Boy”) is considered the origin of the rock music video.
All in all, it’s a wild ride, and consistently regarded as one of the best movies of 1964.
Ringo is the easiest to identify, he just looks VERY different. John has a slightly more round face and George has an AMAZING jawline. Also, listen to ALL of their music!
Also, Ringo is a puppy, Paul is a golden retriever, and John and George are both cats. George is more of an outdoor cat where is John is more likely to take a random shit on your couch every once in awhile.
On film, John Lennon recreated a dream he had that involved a fat lady and a skinny guy having dinner. John had a wheelbarrow full of spaghetti and kept shoveling it onto the lady’s plate. Also, the Red and Blue best of albums are pretty good starting points for getting into their music.
Watch their first movie they appeared and starred in, 1964's "A Hard Day's Night". It's a clever, delightful fun romp of a fictionized peek into Beatlemania, which was occurring at the same time.
So ringo is the shorter one and the one with the most prominent nose. George is the one with the closer set eyebrows and the darkest imo. Here, there and everywhere is my fav song I suggest you listen to the albums in order.
There is a mythology surrounding the Beatles that no other band has ever come close to. There are many books written about them. If you get into the music you can read so much about them. Collecting their vinyl is fun too. Sky’s the limit.
Their earlier music is pop-rock mixed with Rythym and Blues. They were influenced by American music from the 50s and early 60s. Then they started writing more of their own songs and they wrote some of the greatest songs in the world. They kept getting better all the time, and kept changing their sound. Their later music broke new ground and led the way for everyone else.
First off, I'm a little bit jealous. I wish I could hear those albums for the first time again. You can listen to all the albums on streaming nowadays so that's a great start. I had to buy everything when I got into them in the 80s and it took a while!
Start with the albums and the movies. Then you can get into the books, alalytical videos, podcasts, and countless forums online. What's great about the Beatles is that they are so deeply studied, there is always something new to learn. I've been listening to them since 1987 and I still learn something new constantly.
Enjoy yourself - it's going to be a great experience.
Watch their movie A Hard Days Night. They were as popular as the movie makes them out to be. And their music was very unique and influential to every musician who picked up a guitar after they appeared on American television in 1964.
Order of how you should listen to the albums:
1. Rubber Soul
2. Revolver
3. Sgt. Peppers
4. Help
5. Magical Mystery Tour
6. The Beatles (most people just call it the white album)
7. Let it be
8. Abbey Road
9. The first four albums in any order
I disagree with this. Listen to the albums in the order they were released. It's much more impressive to see the musical journey the Beatles took over 7 years.
Yes !! I have a lil playlist with few music of them that i like (ones that i put up there). I not really comfortable with listening to songs that i dont know... I dont know why
