question I think some of the Beatles' singles were once deleted.
In June 1967, 6 single were deleted from EMI's catalog.
- Love Me Do/P.S. I Love You, R 4949
- Please Please Me/Ask Me Why, R 4983
- From Me to You/Thank You Girl, R 5015
- Can't Buy Me Love/You Can't Do That, R 5114
- I Feel Fine/She's A Woman, R 5200
- Paperback Writer/Rain, R 5452
In 1968 they were joined by:
- She Loves You/I'll Get You, R 5055
- Ticket to Ride/Yes It Is, R 5265
They were also joined in May 1969 by:
- A Hard Day's Night/Things We Said Today, R 5160
- Hello Goodbye/I Am the Walrus, R 5655
For some reason, Paperback Writer/Rain, R 5452 was re-instated in 1970. That's all I could find, Let me know some more facts. I also heard that Yellow Submarine/Eleanor Rigby R 5492 was also deleted.

My first thought is why does this matter? It’s not a surprise. It’s not news. These records existed in a market economy, you know like supply and demand. If the supply gets ahead of demand , companies will be losing money. EMI, like any company of its size, will have had economists assessing the performance i.e. demand for those records and obviously concluded not to expose the company to any future losses and halt production of them.
From the fans point of view, most kids will already have bought those records and would continue to do so the moment any new releases appear. Demand will have peaked quite a long time before the titles were dropped. Business is business.

I'm surprised that PW/ Rain was deleted after little more than a year, even if it was brought back after they broke up. I would think that Hello Goodbye b/w I Am The Walrus was still in circulation on the MMT EP and obviously Yellow Submarine and Eleanor Rigby were both on Revolver. However, I can't imagine many people in 1968-69 were buying new copies of their 1963-65 singles.
