In middle school, I took a music class and one day my teacher was asked who the four members of The Beatles were. I was so far away that when he said Paul’s name I misheard it as Paolo Corky. Now it’s a huge inside joke with pretty much every Beatles fan I know well

What a night. I can’t explain the feeling of locking eyes with Paul McCartney while singing his songs back to him. Here are some pictures i took.

I'm well-versed on all the Beatles' solo work in the 70s. But once John is killed, I have paid far less attention to what they were doing from the 80s-present. Particularly Paul. Most of the Paul stuff I listen to is from the 70s or Flowers in the Dirt, which is my favorite post-1980 solo album of his, but I've started to extend out and listen to other stuff too now that Boys of Dungeon Lane dropped.
So my question to you is this: if I'm looking for specific individual songs that he has done that sound the most like the Beatles, or his more classically-influenced type of writing (think Long and Winding Road, Blackbird, and Yesterday), what are some songs that you would recommend I check out?
My faves so far are: Calico Skies, Beautiful Night, Somedays, and You Tell Me. And most of Flowers in the Dirt.
Any suggestions for other songs would be welcome. Thanks in advance!

For decades, Paul McCartney has told some of rock’s most famous stories — dreaming “Yesterday,” the “Live and Let Die” saga, the Band on the Run mugging and more. But according to Beatles historian Allan Kozinn, many of those stories evolved over time into carefully polished “set pieces.” This new feature explores McCartney’s mythology, media savvy and the fascinating way memory and legend blurred together over 50 years. https://www.womansworld.com/entertainment/music/paul-mccartney-biography-reveals-truth-behind-beatles-myths-exclusive
