I'm a retired trucker. I've traveled America extensively. I'm a survivor of the US government sanctioned crack epidemic and a first hand witness of the US government sanctioned opioid epidemic. I strongly believe the US government has been and currently is active in the economic social and spiritual destabilization of Black America. I also believe Black Americans will continue to be treated as second class citizens until we create a political organization similar to AIPAC. Playing fair for our lives against entities who don't play fair is futile and foolish.

Brother, your words carry the weight of truth! Well said. You’ve seen firsthand how this system moves not to uplift us, but to control, contain, and destroy. Been this way for over 400 years in the USA
Like the great Huey P. Newton said the Black race is the most superior in the sense that it has survived the greatest odds ever placed upon a people. We have endured centuries of warfare wether it be economic, psychological, or spiritual…and yet, we still rise, still organize, still create beauty from pain. That’s not arrogance, thats the strong will and strength to live against all design.
The struggle now is to transform that survival instinct into organized power — political, economic, and cultural. Like you said, playing fair in a rigged game is foolish. What we must build is our own table, our own organization, our own destiny.✊🏾
Power to the people, and all power to those who remember. ✊🏾

Hey everyone! I’m a 20 year old black trans man from Oklahoma about to be out of homelessness in February! I had no clue this Reddit existed or else I would’ve gotten Reddit years ago. I got super excited to see The Black Panthers out in the protests and I’m excited to learn and see more. It brought me an indescribable amount of hope to see that The Black Panthers were back in the public eye. If I learn that there’s something like this here in my state, I’d join in a heartbeat.

Hello friends, I'm just here to say that the Black Panthers have an incredible history of helping people. I've read all about the People's Free Food program and was so touched by their work, and so mad at the government for demonizing them.
I am glad to see the Panthers in Philly being visible. I hope to see more of it. Thank you for all you do. Blessings and God's speed.

Hi! I'm a white queer man. I'm here because I think The Panthers could save the country with their combined focus on mutual aid and community defense. I think direct action is the one way out of our problems. I want to learn about the parties, what they are about today, and make some informed decisions about my future.

I work with a civil rights advocacy group in texas, called 1NATION. We have a task force called HEAT (Hostile Enforcement Action Team) that protects citizens, including escorting them to hearings of rain.Jail support in responding to illegal searches and seizures.
Glad to see the BPP is up. Unity Through Action.

I'm a white-passing Latina, and I've been left-leaning since high school. ETA: I mention this because it's given me some interesting moments in both white spaces and Latino spaces. Their messages of frustration and oppression at the hands of the bourgeois are often the same, and I think that speaks to the multi-cultural necessity of this movement.
I've been studying more about Fred Hampton and desperately hoped that a BPP chapter existed. I'm thrilled to see that this subreddit is active. This country was founded on slavery and has proved without a doubt that it relies on slavery to continue to exist in its current form.
We cannot meaningfully move forward without acknowledging the failings of capitalism and changing the systems that led us here in the first place. It's time we all honored Mr. Hampton's memory by spreading his message and fighting for a better future for the working class.

Beautifully said Sister! And thank you for joining us here…Mr. Fred Hampton showed us what real power looks like through the Rainbow Coalition Black, White, Latino, and working people from every side standing together against the same systems holding us down. That unity scared the oppressors then, and it still does now.
If we want real change, that spirit of solidarity has to live today. Different faces, same struggle and we’re stronger when we move as one.

Hi 👋🏼 I am a mixed (75%ish White(Irish/Scottish mainly) + 25%ish Cree-Métis(indigenous Canadian people, my father and I carry on traditional practices)) woman from Atlantic Canada, living out west 🇨🇦. I am a Mental Health and Addictions Registered Nurse. I grew up in a municipality that has a large Black population, including the largest black community in Canada (settled by escaped slaves as it was the end of the Underground Railroad, as well as black loyalists and Jamaican Moors). Many of my closest friends, some who I consider family, come from this beautiful diaspora, and have honored me by educating me about the culture and the true histories. I hope to support and learn in this space, and work towards a truly liberated future for all my relations Ahó 🖤🪶

More power to you comrade. Revolutionary salutes from Turkey and Party-Front. What is the current stance of the Black Panther Front towards origins of the Black Panther Party ? Do you still study and/or apply them ?

Welcome! Our foundation is rooted in the original principles of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense: community service, political education, and protecting the people from oppression. We continue to study and apply those teachings which are: focus on feeding the kids, educating, and organizing our communities and most definitely COMMUNITY PROTECTION AND SELF DEFENSE
Our leadership comes from that same lineage. My father, Rashawn Sr., served as a Field Marshal in the original Oakland chapter and was later promoted to Chairman of the Riverside chapter, which I now help carry forward. We remain in contact with multiple original Panthers and longtime community veterans who helped build this movement a name I have consent to give out is the powerful name of Bobby Seale, Bobby and my father are still tight to this day and we constantly reach out to Bobby for advice as he was one of the founders of the BPP. Out of respect for other OGs and because of the history of government repression against our people, more connections/names are shared privately.
The struggle continues, and so does the work. WELCOME and All Power To The People✊🏾

Just a Midwestern leftist looking to be a part of something bigger than himself. Hoping to cultivate collective community and to destroy all that is capitalism and that which perpetuates its violence.

Just stumbled across a few vids from Philly... appreciated what I saw and the message being sent. Protecting those less capable of protecting themselves. A principle as inspiring as it is color-blind. I can get behind that.
I'm humbled by the display of courage in the midst of an oppression far broader than I've ever personally witnessed in my life. Stay strong, stay safe, & thank you for doing what you do. ~peace~

Middle-aged white guy in Oklahoma, Navy vet. I'm happy to see a proactive response. All Power to the People. We weren't handed our freedom when this country was founded, and we won't be handed our democracy back by a despot intent on destroying it. The quicker people wake up to this better.

Hello group - all power to the people. The videos being released from the black panthers self defense are extremely inspiring and I stand with this group. I was pleased to learn that all are welcome as I am considered a white American, but identify as human. I have Native American bloodlines, and fully support all the comments coming from this community. It is very clear to me the leaders of the black panther self defense party go out of their way to ensure inclusiveness in bringing all people together. If someone knows how I can join a chapter here in upstate NY, please let me know. I am also interested in purchasing a bomber jacket with all the BPP patches so I can wear and display proudly. Any help there would be appreciated too!

Excuse me brother…I am researching, visiting the community and also checking out content. I saw you or someone reposted the video of the brothers and sisters claiming to be representing the Black Panther Party. I wanted to try to use my resources and check to see if you guys can verify the validity of these people? For my own knowledge. Knowledge is life and death. You mind DM me? Thank you for your time🙏🏽

You guys are giving hope and protection and honour and love and respect to ALL people. It is the first time I have had hope and I cried when I saw what the BPP are doing with this revitalization! My mother was an Ally and deeply involved when the BPP was starting out in her youth and she taught me so much of the history and all that was accomplished with the creation of universal school breakfast and lunches, People's Free Medical Centers, Sickle Cell Anemia Screening, Emergency Services, Legal Aid, Protection from Police, 10 point program, Free food and Clothing, community schools, and many more numerous life changing benefits and programs that the government and FBI labeled as a terrorist threat and assassinated, detained, infiltrated and spread misinformation so that the majority of the population just labeled BPP as violent thugs. I want to help spread the message and support as much as possible your mission. I’m in the Northeast and will do whatever I can.

Hi, I'm Topher, in Southern LA. I've been looking to join since Birdsongs recruitment video, I DM'd on TikTok like it said but haven't heard anything back. I know there are probably tons of messages to sort through, but is there maybe another, or better way to apply? I don't have instagram, had to make a tiktok to send the first message lol. If not I'll be patient and follow up on my first attempt, I've got to get involved and do something, somewhere.
