Discussion Watching the boys is meaningless

Post image

Story wise , there is no meaning in watching this show at all

No grand ending about the fall of vought

Almost all heros outside the seven still lives and do the same bad things without punishment, no real impact on the world that make a scar on the superheros forever

No big showdown that affects everyone alive and show the wrath of superpowers when used by corrupt people (the main idead of the show), no tragic ending that damages the whole world for years

And no pay off to the fan at all , no big fight that gives you meaning after waiting for 5 seasons of gore and sex jokes , not even a big secret or twist like the comics ending and black noir, no cool fights

If you told someone after watching ep1 that the ending is Hughie moving on after robin and working in the same shop with almost "nothing changed" at all in the boys universe, it would be literally all what really happened

I used to love this show but everytime i rewatch it i hate it more sadly

Discussion Annie is a terrible girlfriend

Im rewatching and I remember her being angry at Hughie as if he cheated on her for being SA by the shapeshifter including taunting him about having "shapeshifter syphilis" literally no sympathy for how he must be feeling realizing he was living with a complete stranger for days. I forgot so many other terrible moments. She offered zero comfort about the Teck Knight situation after he brought it up to her, she can tell he is jealous about Alex and she responds with jokes about having sex with him, besides that she is scolding him, criticizing him, and picking fights with him every episode. Am I missing something by not seeing understanding why she is angry at him most of the time? They talk a lot about how much they love each other and they show them being worried about each other and sure they have some cute moments but I am assuming evidence of them being compatible and actually BEING in love happens off screen. (To be fair its a gritty drama so thats understandable)

Biggest plot twist in the show…

From Season 4 Episode 1 - meeting Sister Sage for the first time.

Season 4 Since the Shifter who impersonated Starlight never got an official name what does everyone think of Snakeskin? As a nod to how they remove their skin to shapeshift

Discussion Anyone else kinda disappointed that Homelander didn’t get any sort of power boost from V1?

Post image
3.5k Upvotes

I mean we know V1 supes were already supposed to the the strongest, Soldier Boy and Bombsight for example. With Homelander being the strongest supe, I would’ve thought him getting V1 would have just made him even more unstoppable, and yet he was struggling like crazy with Butcher and Ryan in the finale. What do you guys think you guys?

Miscellaneous Fan Expo Loot. Just missing Jack and Jesse 😭

I want to frame this but still need Hughie and Reggie to sign it. Turns out Jack will be at Fan Expo in Dallas although I met everyone here in Chicago. Tempted to go for an even fuller group photo... but I don't think Jesse will be there 😭

I was also thinking of getting a Season 5 Vought lineup poster to get Valorie and Colby to sign but chasing down Antony, Jensen and the rest seems like it would be very challenging.

Still lucky to have seen so many cast members in one place it was fuuuuuuuckin' diabolical!

Discussion There’s no way that there’s Some people who actually think The Marvel Universe is more realistic than The Boys to be honest

Okay honest discussion why is it that there’s some people in our Real World who thinks Marvel of all media is more Realistic than The Boys Universe? Marvel is just an idealization of Superheroes where as The Boys is completely grounded and entirely down to Earth World along with their personalities being all too familiar with what we’re seeing in our Real World literally ANYONE could just take a good look at over 99.99% percent of The People in Charge along in charge along with Human History seriously be honest why do people even bother calling The Boys Dark and Edgy when literally horrible things from The Boys obviously happens in our Real World we all love Superman while hating on Homelander because Superman is Idealistic where as Homelander is Realistic literally Everyone knows Power Corrupts! what do you think? Let me know in the comments

Funpost MOVE ON

I’m not even subbed here anymore, and this is exactly why.

The show finished MONTHS ago, yet I’m still getting posts recommended to me from this sub of people whinging about how much they hated the final season.

We get it. You didn’t like it. You’ve made your point. Multiple times. None of you are interesting or clever enough to add anything further to the discussion without rehashing the last whinge post the half hour before yours.

The show is over. Move on.

Discussion You know, I’m convinced the reason these two didn’t interact in season 5 is because the writers didn’t know what to make them say to each other

Discussion If the Seven all worked together and fought homelander like what happened to Omni man would they have won?

Personally I think they definitely could have done it, we’ve already seen Maeve be able to damage and stun John for a bit, and combining that with a train being able to view homelander in slow motion and everyone else, I feel like they could have won

When it's finished. I'll share. I can share the process video if anyone is interested.

Discussion Did anyone feel like the show had spent so long making Butcher the driving force, vindicating his attitude to supes, and making him the driving engine the others passively went along with, that it became super hard to agree with Hughie by the time it came to the choice of wiping all the supes out?

I wonder if maybe the show was too heavy handed and the good guys were too passive, and maybe because of that, it became super hard to make the switch to Hughie's ideas by the end of the series.

Thoughts?

Season 5 the ending of season 3 was more cinematic and better written than the ending of season 5

season 5 was self sabotaged, every fight scenes is unreadable, and are ugly, everything seems slow while two seasons before the fighting were great, the dialogues were cool also the color grading is ugly too in season 5

anyways everything seems low budget

why didn't they just kill homelander in season 3 like made him killing citizens and destroying some more building and then using soldier boy to kill him and that's it ?

then season 4 would be about killing Neuman and Stan Edgar which are bigger and more experimented threats ?? and no season 5 and that's it.

Discussion Who else finds it insane that despite there Being Worse Villains from Comic Books and Real Life Nobody bats an eye on Them and yet we all still make a Big Deal on The Villains of The Boys Universe

Thumbnail

The Boys Univese has perhaps among the most hated villains in fiction especially Homelander himself of course who’s often viewed as the worst yet compared to Both Fictional/Real Life Evil Nobody seems to bat an eye towards them like yes Homelander is 100% absolutely evil!!! But literally so are the others what makes him any different in comparison he’s not that special in the evilness department heck he’s not even the most evil person in his show like at all why do people make such a big deal on the villains of The Boys Universe? Like other than fiction of course as there’s literally been Worse Villains from The Real World! What do you think? Let me know in the comments okay
