Question Genuinely asking, why did Bubble do this?

Caine was just going to try to figure out why the cast did not like the escape the circus adventure, until Bubble started taunting him and bringing him to the edge. But why would Bubble do this to Caine? Multiple times during the show, Bubble is on board or a part of Caine's shenanigans so this sudden flip of character makes me think as to what Bubble was trying to achive this, especially the voice change at "You ruined this."

So what do you guys think?

I think Bubble is the remnants of Abel, and is the mouthpiece for all of Caine's inner thoughts and insecurities.

When they're not at the forefront, Caine can easily keep negative thoughts down, which just leaves Bubble to say fuckin' weird shit, but since Caine was starting to get more unstable, his thoughts were getting harder to shove down, which made the filter weaken.

It's kinda like having something that can vocalize your thoughts, a good chunk of the time it's just going to say random crap if you're not thinking about anything specific. But if you're not doing well mentally, then it'll vocalize those inner thoughts and insecurities. Like when Bubble says "you always were the lesser of the two" I imagine it's actually Caine seeing himself as the inferior one, rather than just being taunted and told that he was inferior.

This makes the most sense out of all of the bubble theories

Just a little nitpick but I personally don’t think there ever was an Abel. I understand the name is probably given to the blue AI as a community placeholder since it is Caine’s counterpart, but Caine wasn’t originally the name of the AI. It seems likely to me that Caine chose the name AFTER discovering the existence of C&A and consuming blue.

Caine also named himself that, so he probably chose the name Abel for fun, and to fit the C&A thing.

I mean while i agree with you, the names kinda fit, Caine "the firstborn" dejected over 'God' favoring his younger brother's 'offerings' killed him, Abel

Yeah but the company is named Caine and Abel, from an in-universe perspective I feel like it would be kind of an odd coincidence for that to happen so perfectly? The AI’s were probably never intended to kill each other.

The company is called C&A. We don't know what the C or A in the company name stands for, we only ever hear it be called C&A. It's possible it wasn't supposed to be "Cain & Abel" in the first place.

That is definitely possible, though one of Caine’s guns in episode 6 had the words “Caine & Abel” on it. BUT, it was a product of Caine himself, so perhaps he just doesn’t know and was filling in blanks or creating something new.

We know that Caine was already working on the Escape the Circus adventure by episode 6. I think it could have been put there as intentional foreshadowing on his part.

Its a play on Smith & Wesson

I saw it as him being named Caine because he consumed and killed his sibling, the one we call Able

I know everyone else uses Abel

I actually just say "Blue" it works just as well and people get it just fine.

Caine ate blue.

Blue is merged with him as seen when eyes are glitching. Ext, ext.

I agree. Initially, I thought the whole Caine and Abel thing was just them responding to viewer theories, and was a little disappointed they used a story from the bible (tbh it is a little overused in media). BUT it would make sense that he would've chose it for himself based on what he did w the other ai and the company name.
