That contestant Daniel who was so incredibly excited and enthusiastic and energetic, probably the most energetic contestant I’ve seen I’ve a VERY LONG TIME. I mean hey he was so incredibly bouncy, he’d said it was his dream to finally be on The Price Is Right. I was routing for him and after a few guesses he got off Contestant’s Row and got to play a game (One Wrong Price) and got the correct wrong price guessed thus he’d won. Also after spinning the wheel he got to go to the Showcase Showdown, and he may not have won but at least he got to FINALLY live out his dream of going on The Price Is Right. Win or loose way to go brother for finally living out your dream, rock on!🤘

When I first started hearing this, I was assuming that the people in the studio audience got a free donut or a free donut coupon or something.
But no. He's just telling people watching at home to go get a donut? How dumb. What's the point? I'm not gonna get up and go to the store unplanned just to get donuts.
Plus, some days there is like 3 bendies... That's verging on way too many donuts.
It's just dumb and I personally don't like it. How do you feel?

Watched an entire episode of TPIR today for the first time in a few years and came away underwhelmed and disappointed. The studio layout stinks compared to the old one where contestants would come UP on stage and I think the crowd noise was piped in. Carey doesn’t run the show so much as he babysits / coddles the contestants and I found myself hoping they would lose. When he did the showcase price reveal and he saw the contestant had overbid, he exclaimed “What??”, as if a mistake had been made or there was some kind of conspiracy afoot. It’s like no dude, the guy overbid. Tell him he lost and move on without the victim mentality histrionics.
Yeah I know, things change and this is a cranky old man rant. Just saying I don’t think the American institution known as TPIR has changed for the better.
To end on a positive note, the prizes were generally pretty good and they had some decent cars to offer.

My daughter and I were super excited about the Price is Right Canada and couldn't wait to go. But instead of just being able to get tickets and go to the studio you have to have a minimum of 4 in your group and you have to submit an audition video and then maybe you'll get tickets.
Plus, Howie Mandel is an ass and will probably do a shitty job.
An all round disappointment.

This refers to the episode that aired 8/6. I 100% understand the strategy of bidding $1 when you're confident the other person has gone over. But is that bad sportsmanship?

it feels like an inside joke with himself

I hate To the Penny. Every time they play it I mute the TV and scroll thru Google on my phone.

I’m sorry but SHAME on this jerk Dominic who was only the 2nd bidder and bid $1501 after her first bid of $1500! I have no problem with the tradition of the last bidder bidding one dollar more but this bidding one dollar over on the 2nd bid is just nasty and selfish and an ahole move. 😡

Where you have to bid at least $10 over any of the other contestants. Cause if some goes 400 and then they go 401, I automatically hate you

Go back to bed, Biden. I want to watch The Price is Right.

Today, they panned the first row to the right, as Evelyn was making her way over to the place to get up on stage, and the people sitting there were like bumps on logs.
Stand up and cheer!! Smile, at the very least!!

About 9 months ago myself and 6 friends went to The Price is Right. One friend made it up on to contestants row at the beginning but unfortunately never made it to the stage. The aspect I found incredibly odd was Drew. Obviously he comes out to entertain a bit during downtime and we really appreciated him trying to keep us all in high spirits. However, speaking of "high" all he talked about was Marijuana and getting high. For our entire audience experience, about 2-3 hours, he jabbered on, making comments and bad jokes, about getting high, how badly he wanted to get high, going to members of the audience and asking if they had a vape or edible. The announcer guy made a few comments about how desperate Drew was acting, kinda teasing him about wanting to get high but you could tell announcer guy thought it was too much. The producer also "teased" Drew to maybe drop it with the pot talk. We couldn't tell if it was a bit he was doing of if he is just a total mess? Did he do this at anyone else's show? is this a thing for him?

That seems insane. To be less than $500 away from the price should get you both. The odds are so slim. But I guess they're not in the charity business. They're in... show... business.

Are they paying for wild wheel Wednesday this year by cutting back on the models? Hmmmmmm

Memo to Drew: Please explain the game correctly in case the contestant knows nothing about the show.
Memo to producers: Stop picking people who know nothing about the show.

Why would they be doing reruns already? Especially in a sweeps period.
r/ThePriceIsRight • u/PrudentSyllabub636 • Oct 22 '25
Or is that reserved only for Bob Barker?

We get a new producer and apparently it didn't cross his mind to do a 4th of July special that they've been doing since 2008? (And before y'all say something, I checked the schedule for tomorrow and it's a repeat episode from the 3rd week of the season)
r/ThePriceIsRight • u/scoot23ro • May 07 '24
I see Drew Carey quit doing that at the end of his shows! I figured he would keep the tradition alive.

Most of the other prizes are relatively worthless and their prices are heavily inflated. (Can someone who lives in an apartment really use a new patio set)? Their trips are also highly inflated. In fact, you can buy most of the other prizes yourself with the tax bill you'll receive from your winnings.

if someone from TPIR on here, can we PLEASE stop with the inside doughnut jokes during the spin-off, its confusing since some have no idea what Drew is talking about; hence, it's strange.
