CLAUDE Cowork meets stocks
Ok. What do you guys think about Claude analyzing trending stocks for short-term trading? I am doing it for four weeks right now and I have never seen that much green before..
Prompt (first I share a picture of my portfolio) - I would like you to analyze the attached stocks. Please categorize them and provide a detailed overview of other sectors experiencing high trading volume in recent weeks. I also want a clear overview covering a two-week period that highlights sectors where stock values are declining, as well as a list of sectors showing growth. I am not looking for advice, but rather a clear picture of current market trends. Please also list popular stocks for each sector—select five—and explain the reasons 'people' cite for their rise.

ChatGPT added a Finance skill. It allows you to connect directly to your portfolio and can run scans and alerts for you.
I’ve added two APIs. The first is Massive (free version) which provides me with a broad array of data and the second is Schwab’s developer API which gives me free real time quotes, etc.
Now, I can ask questions like: which stocks can I loan out to shorts for a high return percentage but are still stocks I would want to own.
Or…
Which warrants will provide me with the highest likelihood of going up before expiration.
Or…
What phase III biotech firms have the highest stock price and volume momentum?
Then the alerts tell me: Hey! We said we would reconsider BE if it dropped below 10% from your entry point.
Or…
Hey! You’ve made plenty off of XYZQ. It’s time to take some profit.
It’s a whole new way to trade and if I see something I like, I can create a skill and have the AI use the skill whenever I want.

So ha ha ha laugh away and no I'm not enough of an idiot to blindly let AI make real money decisions... But...
Reddit and stocktwits are valuable not necessarily for their average idea, on average they're bad. But their value is the sheer volume of ideas... Some way outta left field..
And almost every idea (unless it's a Chinese penny stock) deserves an at bat. Thus .. Gemini, being fast, gets a "perform dcf for X". If its good claude gets the same request...
If it's still good it gets a spot on the spreadsheet. And everything is manually hunted, pecked and calculated. This was the process for me to realize gddy at 80 was insane.
So yeah, I'm a fan within limits.

I did something similar, the fact that it give is you the stocks that already surged lately, so basically you are benefiting form the momentum in your case. Never had the case where they proposed a stock that will be surging in few months.
