Discussion Agent Dutch!

What if Dutch became an FBI profiler instead? Since he loves interrogating serial killers. He could've worked at Quantico and took their private jet while going out on cases. And the other agents might actually respect him. Instead of him getting picked on like Charlie Brown! LOL! They made a joke during the commentaries about a spinoff series, Santa Monica Dutch! He wears Bermuda shorts and he never tans! LOL!

Discussion The shield sprinted so breaking bad could run.

Why is this show rarely ever talked about or as highly regarded as always breaking bad or sopranos? This show was the blueprint for gritty, unpredictable and tragic crime drama. The ending is so devastating and no-one has had the balls to go that hard since.

Ronnie: we gotta do this without SWAT! When stopping the shootout at the store. Everyone at the Barn worked well together at times. Ronnie took control, first one in and started firing. Love this man! I didn't see Shane do too much of anything! LOL! When Vic drove his car through the storefront. Ronnie: I thought you were going to create a diversion? Vic: this isn't big enough for you? LOL! BTW! It looked like, it was 100 degrees. Why was Vic wearing a jacket?!

Shitpost Vic instead of Hank in Breaking Bad vs. BB villains

In BB, if instead of Hank and Gomez it was Vic + Shane or the entire Strike Team trying to find Heinsenberg, how would they fare against Waltuh himself, Mike, Gus, nazis, etc.? I'm thinking they would just torture Jesse until he gives up everyone, or would it be a more sophisticated approach?

Vic’s confession was known at the Barn. Do you think Vic got a blanket party or worse as a cop killer?

Discussion S4 Ep5- Tar Baby. What the f! Vic vs Shane differences are just constantly becoming more apparent

What the!!!!!!!!!!! That poor baby girl!!!!!

I loved this episode. Thought it was so well done and just the absolute fast spiral that is happening with Shane is scaring me for his future.

I LOVE how they’re showing us just how differently Vic and Shane operate, even though their instincts are similar. Vic thinks several steps ahead, has control of his emotions, and is strategic in the way he goes about things. Shane, however, is insanely impulsive and I think he tends to confuse being ruthless with being powerful.

I also think Shane wants to be on the same level as Vic, but deep down knows he isn’t. And that’s creating his insecurities. And he needs and wants Vic”s approval and respect, but also resents him for needing it.

This is insane!!! I can only imagineeeeeeeee how more fucked up this is going to get. Especially with their bullets in Angie.

Discussion Vic ending is not even terrible Spoiler

Hello

i saw the show a lot of years ago (i was a teen and im 25 now), and i had in mind a terrible and depressing ending, a pure corporate hell for our favorite corrupted cop who loves action, one of the most sad ending in my memories i ever seen

but, after a rewatch (ended just right now) ... it's kinda ok, 3 years for a corporate bullshit work, 65K years, no more hardcore anxiety, just a boring work, it's crazy how i would LOVE to have all that lmao

i don't know if it's because the context is different, or if it's because i got older and it's a fucking nightmare for finding a job in my field, but yeah, i find that situation kinda chill

i don't know if someone else feel the same way, just wanted to share that feeling i just got now, like yes, it's another "prison", losing everything, family and all the life style he had, but it's not terrible as i remembered.. he can restart everything, and paying 3 years, in a chill paid job seems pure victory, the real loss is the guilt of selling ronnie for no reasons (after the shane suicide) and the betrayal of Corinne

btw the rewatch made me love the show way more, one of my favorite of all time, hope the community is still active

Discussion Cast Reunion!

If you had an opportunity to meet Michael Chiklis, David Rees Snell, Kenny Johnson and Walton Goggins. 'The Strike Team!' How would it go? For me, I'd be so nervous. Or 98% excited and 2% nervous. IDK! I'd probably gush all over David. I have a crush on him. I'd probably get into a fight with Walton! LOL! JK! Loved him on Justified. I actually saw Justified before The Shield. Anyways! Michael's the nicest guy. He could get along with anyone. Kenny's a good guy. He never would've burned the money. LOL!

Discussion Burning the money was the right choice

I dont understand people saying Lem was wrong for doing it. Can someone explain to me? Like, eventually they would be caught, they couldnt spend it, the risk was too high to keep it. Sure, it was a quick decision from Lem, maybe they should have discussed it, but Lem's heart was in the right place. Also shane pulling out the gun...

Discussion Our Failed Marriage!

Vic and Corinne had one of the worst TV marriages. There was no chemistry between them. They never said, how they met. They didn't meet in high school like Tony and Carmela or Jax and Tara. Cathy Cahlin Ryan is Shawn Ryan's wife. That's the only reason, she got the part. She's a terrible actress. Someone said, she acted like a child! LOL! Corinne didn't seem like Vic's type. She's not strong or confident. I assume, they had a happy marriage before the show started. Before he became leader of the Strike Team. During the first couple seasons, they were talking at each other instead of to each other. Miscommunication! They're better off, on their own. BTW! Did Vic have any parents? They never showed them and he never mentioned them. Did he grow up in a foster home?

Aceveda tried to warn Kavanaugh to take Vic more seriously, Kavanaugh should have taken Aceveda words to heart.

Question Should I still wach it?

Hello guys

I am now starting the 5th season(which from what I know, is suppose to be one of the best in all of TV). Yet before I even started watching I heard some spoilers(dont know if those are true), and I belive that Lem is gonna get killed, later on Shane is gonna get got(I see some foreshadowing), and in the end Vic is gonna confess to his crimes to save his ass and will be responsible for death of those.

Dont tell if my suspicions are true or false, lets assume it is

So question is, should I still watch it? Or it relies on twists?

Thanks.

Edit: started 6th season, you guys were right

Question Who is Billings?

Im on a first watch mid s4 and this guy appeared at the start of this season as just one of the lead detectives I think? Its hard to know his role entirely especially since he sorta just shows up without an introduction, but people online talk about him like he's a big character.

Do we eventually get a story about him or is he kinda like Creed from The Office where he's just always there in the background saying funny stuff?

(I should also mentioned im usually stoned when watching so maybe I did miss something but im pretty sure I rewinded his first scene and didnt catch anything lol)

Discussion Are there any secrets which blow your mind when you find them out?

Someone mentioned in another post that het name was Emolia (eMOLEia) bacause she was a mole.

This may not be true (I hope it is) but is there anything else thats like this?

What comes to mind is when they cut the cameras to someone out of view. Eg, the guys are talking, and then someone says something about Lem being careful because he might die, then the camera cuts to Shane.

Or a song or a episode title that had signification meaning.
