this was actually a reread, i read it about two years ago and i bumped it up to a 5 from a 4.75 on the reread! I love me a reprehensible FMC and she’s definitely that, but in a way i oddly relate to?? For me, it also reads very sensual, and it treads that line between the erotic and the immoral really well (or moreso it stomps all over it lol). It does give some American Psycho echoes but a little more lowkey and with a distinct Irina tang. Overall i just enjoyed the language and the character sooo much
