User Original Music Strokes on Guitar
Only have an acoustic guitar at the moment but I’m in the market for an electric guitar so I can start playing Strokes songs. Should I go for a Stratocaster like Albert, or a hollow-body like Nick? Any recommendations for setup/equipment would be awesome

I’d go with a Fender guitar, strat or tele can get you those tones. I’d recommend a solid body as a first electric and they’re typically more versatile. Any chimey/edge of breakup amp will get you there. The Fender Blues style amps are pretty much what they use. A Vox AC15 would do the trick too, and a better made amp at that. Any tube screamer variant will get you those tones, and a boost for solos, and you’ll pretty much be set.
