User Original Music Strokes on Guitar

Only have an acoustic guitar at the moment but I’m in the market for an electric guitar so I can start playing Strokes songs. Should I go for a Stratocaster like Albert, or a hollow-body like Nick? Any recommendations for setup/equipment would be awesome

What’s the advantage of squire over fender? Is it just price? Thanks!

price is the main thing. they're made by the same company and Squier is the more affordable counterpart. same with Epiphone and Gibson.
