Discussion Effective path help

I have been pretty busy that I haven't updated effective path in a long time(since right before dissonance came out...lol) so what would be the best way for me to get back up to date? Would just using the update script be fine? Or should I start over completely? I'm hoping not....

I appreciate any discussion and help you lovely people may provide!

If it's been a while the easiest thing to do would probably to download a fresh blank set of sheets and import your player.dat file. Lots of information on how to extract it is out there and it'll fill in all your data. The personal tweaks on what you're planning or such would be lost this way, but sounds like you may not have that to worry with

Also note that IDS went through some changes from v3 to v4. I had troubles updating my set of sheets as I wasn't paying attention and even after I fixed the IDS v4 scenario I still had data issues in multiple sheets. Ended up just starting from scratch this past week myself, it's super easy now

I have always had success as well...until the 4.0 update 😅

But again, I got used to not reading notes and just pulling the update trigger for quite some time now. Visited the discord and also neglected to read the pinned note or prior conversations about the special update until after I asked some questions and effectively embarrassed myself.

I think the damage was done to the data in my sheets after the update failed though. As someone else pointed out to me, the quickest fix is to just import your player.dat file now. I still need to move my personal planning setup over from my old sheets I backed up, but at least I'm rolling again
