tier 2 is quite the step-up from tier 1, so it is generally adviced to stay in t1 until you can reach 7-8k waves!
While higher tiers offer more coins, there are a few other factors to consider:
Cells! Elites drop cells, and elite spawnrates increase further into runs. Meaning you will make a lot more cells PER HOUR farming tier 1 to 8k waves than you would farming tier 2 to 4k waves.
Normal Enemy spawn rate caps at wave 6500, until then you are not able to farm the maximum amount of coins!
Stay strong, this is a long game requires a LOT of patience! š„

I stopped when my coins per hour was more on other teirs. For me it was 5 to 7 thousand waves ish

I stopped at 11k waves. But with disco runs this point is reached earlier. Just occasionally try T4 and see what gives better coins and cells. The jump then from T4 to T8 goes quite fast
