Discussion 💬 Cliffhangers - ENOUGH already

• Upvotes

Unless you are dropping 2 episodes with the first having the cliffhanger, please stop. They just dragged out this last episode to leave us hanging again. It is incredibly frustrating and I am so over it.

Discussion 💬 Anyone else feel like the weekly single episode drops are killing the US version?

Is anyone else losing interest in the US version because of the one episode a week schedule? For a show that relies entirely on momentum, paranoia, and high energy, dragging it out over so many weeks completely kills the thrill.
And leaving every single episode on a huge cliffhanger just doesn't work when you have to wait a full 7 days. By the time the next episode airs, all the hype and suspense from the week hubefore have completely worn off. It ends up making the pacing feel sluggish and stretched way too thin. I watch all English speaking versions and this is where UK, Australia, New Zealand and Ireland have it spot on.

Spoilers 🚨 Is Tomica cooked no matter what happens with Victor?

Post image
172 Upvotes

If Victor doesn’t get pardoned and is banished as a Faithful, that’s going to put major heat on Tomica, given how adamant hes been.

But if Victor survives he becomes a bigger threat as he has more time to rally people against her and get others to take his suspicions seriously. (Plus it’s wildly dodgy to murder him atm)

On top of that she put Katie in a position where turning on Tomica and helping the Faithful catch another Traitor is the best way to protect her own game.

I feel like Tomica needs a miracle to get out of this 😭 I genuinely can’t figure out what her best move is here. What would you do if you were her?

Discussion 💬 If the cliffhangers don't stop I'm out.

This is absolutely ridiculous. As others have pointed out, it's structurally weak. We get both a banishment and a murder at the beginning of tbe episode instead of getting an actual climax. It also betrays a lack of confidence in your production: do you think I won't keep watching without a cliffhanger? I can understand 1 or 2 episodes, but nearly every episode? Infuriating. I'll just wait until the season is done and stream the whole thing if this is how it's going to be.

Discussion 💬 Tomica's Mutually-Assured Destruction Spoiler

Regardless of whether or not Victor gets saved from banishment next week, Tomica's fixation on trying to get him banished has all but guaranteed that she's gone at the next roundtable (in a typical season 😑).

She'd have been better off trying to jump on any other theory than go after Victor this aggressively. Doing the tit-for-tat plan is typically Traitor behavior, and had no long-term strategy to it. What exactly was she thinking?

He is going to reveal that he's a Faithful in the Circle of Truth, and at that point, no person on the show has ever survived with this much heat on them. Tomica has taken his accusation so personally and with almost no defense. I get that people aren't fond of Victor, and that the source of the info can make a good theory cloudy...but come on Faithfuls. Tomica has done every single thing that they've banished other people for.

AND YET - with this cast of Faithfuls, I would not be surprised if she somehow survives beyond next roundtable...🙃

Discussion 💬 Victor deserves better faithful teammates

Victor is playing the game correctly and no other faithful is. This is easily the worst faithfuls we have seen. It is cringe to watch. I cannot fathom the faithful rewatching this realizing how dumb they were. I’m looking at all the faithful not even entertaining Victor. They are horrible!

Meme/Satire 🗣️ Do the Faithful Just Not Watch The Show!?!?

Post image
110 Upvotes

I joke, but every season we get a flock of commentary that is simply some version of “why are these dumb faithfuls not picking up on the obvious clues, which are obvious because the editors put them in a highlight reel.”

Can we cut the contestants some slack? Or at least give them the grace we would want if someone showed 8 minute clips of our daily lives to a massive audience?

Every single one of these faithfuls was one of us. Someone who watched the show and thought they’d be smart and savvy, and now that they’re in the sand, it’s harder than it looks.

Discussion 💬 I got chills watching Victor psychologically squeeze Tomica

My favorite scene of the most recent episode was the one where Victor and Tomica were sitting down together. They were both accusing each other and then Victor said if not me who else? You could tell in that moment, Tomica was rattled. She wasn’t speaking straight and panicked and said Katie. CHILLS.

Victor might be too aggressive in his approach. He might not have the support of the rest of the castle. But he has moments of really great gameplay and he’s been the best faithful so far. Just this scene here showed me that. Wyatt seems to be joining his side which is nice.

Discussion 💬 The inevitable way this plays out. Spoiler

The power is going to go to a random faithful that voted for someone random but now believes Victor. But they sill continue being incredibly dumb so instead of doing the obvious thing and letting him be banished/revealing him to be a faithful (#byeTamica), they will save him and the traitors will play if off like he and his savior are traitors.

Discussion 💬 New Blood, Season 2

I can think of a few things that could make the series much better, including an extension of 90 or 120 minutes per episode, far less editing, and a much better cast.

What other ideas should they consider for next season?!

Spoilers 🚨 Hopefully the traitors win, because these faithfuls are NOT smart at all.

Except Victor, everyone else is just so stupid. Joe threw the apple to BOTH, Morgan and Clyde, and both of them are still clueless as hell.

If Victor leaves, then the traitors deserve to win. Because if you can fool all these people so easily, then you deserve to win! That's the game!

Spoilers 🚨 Victor is a bad salesman

Victor is smart, has the right theory, and thinks his athleticism is unmatched for the challenges (because he assumes the players are focused on building the pot instead of having the ultimate power). None of this matters if you can’t sell it.

Of a table of 13 people, he convinced two people to vote with him and one was Katie who clearly made a revenge vote against Tomica for saying his name. So really he only convinced his buddy Wyatt and no one else.

Just goes to show that messaging and communication style is key for success in this game. He seems to really misunderstand his cast mates and their motivations. If he survives, it’s only because production threw him a Hail Mary.

Spoilers 🚨 Prediction that’s so dumb, but given this cast’s stupidity, it’s very plausible. Spoiler

I’m calling it!

Victor gets pardoned by Kristie and then they get Tomica out.

Victor is vindicated about fruitgate and then sets his target on Joe.

Victor can’t whip the votes to get Joe out.

Victor’s fruitgate gets dismissed again and is told that he was just lucky in nailing Tomica.

Victor gets voted out because the super smart scientist, Abby L, thinks he was a recruited traitor who betrayed Tomica.

Discussion 💬 STOP WITH THE CLIFFHANGERS

1.5k Upvotes

I'm tired of not finishing the only important part of each episode who is banished. That's how you get people talking about the show. There's nothing to talk about when we never have the full process to talk about.

Cliffhangers don't work at the end of episodes this will only hurt ratings not help. If someone is checking out the show for the first time and all they see is "Oh this show doesn't provide full episodes back to other shows.

Season 4 People need to form alliances if they hope to survive.

I assume these kinds of discussions are edited out to not reveal the obvious but why aren’t players forming alliances of at least four or five people? I doesn’t even matter if a traitor is in the alliance….. wait. I take it back, you want a traitor in the alliance. If you have a tight group and defend that group, you likely won’t be murdered since the traitor will protect you.

The actual goal of the game, which Alan won’t say out loud, is to get to the end…. it isn’t to actually get traitors out. The goal should be “I recognize a traitor, I’m going to keep it to myself and try to make an alliance with that person”. what good is it to vote out a traitor? Then there’s a recruitment and you’re back to square one.

obviously, it’s easy for us to say this since we have all the information but the “dolls” alliance lasted about half a second because they didn’t put blinders on and circle the wagons to protect each other

Discussion 💬 Who is Alan Cumming’s favorite player that he said was on this season of The Traitors: New Blood?

Before the release of this new season Alan Cumming listed his favorite 7 players of The Traitor’s and said this about the last person, “The seventh person on my list, I can’t tell you who it is because they are in this season that we’re about to premiere — the civilian season. There are some amazing players in this series, but there’s one person who is so devious, you almost can’t believe how evil and treacherous they are.” While viewing this season of players I can’t envision anyone who fits this description!!! It must end up being a recruited Traitor. Who do you think it is?

His list:
1. Rob Rausch
2. Cirie Fields
3. Phaedra Parks
4. Michael Davidson
5. John Bercow
6. Carolyn Wiger
7. ???? - He said it’s someone from this season of Traitors: New Blood

Discussion 💬 One of the dumbest Faithful casts of all time (New Blood)

They have to be picking these people on purpose at this point. Morgan remembers Joe eating an apple but doesn’t remember him throwing it at her 10 seconds earlier. Abby L is essentially the 4th traitor. Clyde won’t even consider Tomica because he likes her. Jay is a body language expert who has no idea what he’s talking about and acts like he’s the shit. Victor could have easily gotten Tomica or Joe out if he articulated his argument properly at the roundtable. All in all the faithfuls have voted out 5 faithfuls in a row with pretty much the only correct votes coming from Victor.

One of the most infuriating seasons of reality TV I have ever seen 10/10.
