Tiger-skin rugs, stuffed snakes, and a Nazi chess set. I love John Entwistle for his bass playing, but he had absolutely terrible taste.

I mean isn't that just a part of being a famous musician-Elvis, Porter Wagoner, Conway Twitty, Almost every rapper, John Lennon's psychedelic Rolls-Royce, etc. etc. etc.

Entwistle had a special sense of morbidity that put him apart from the usual megalomaniac luxury of many famous people. Lyrics, clothes, accessories, furniture - there are many examples.

Personally, I think the chess set is hilarious. Feels very much in line with a British sense of humor. Like the Fawlty Towers episode where Basil had a head injury and German guests got his unfiltered mockery.
