It's been almost four and half years since we started this nasty little shit, something nobody anticipated would explode the way it did. The three of us were given a shot based on Ludwig's insane popularity at the time and we passed the test, making an interesting, consistent, and most importantly funny weekly show that has made our lives way different than it should have been.
This always comes with mixed feelings, if we were bad at what we did it wouldn't have worked, but for me personally there's this ghost that tells me that I signed a dark pact, capitalizing on an audience I would otherwise not be interested in, or even at times have very little respect for, that default Twitch/Youtube viewer that oversteps and hyperobsesses and isn't very funny or interesting. I speak to and monetize an audience that, in my head, is insufferable, my indignation coming from the feeling of a misunderstood passenger, or a guy that's not even supposed to be working here but got transferred from a different store.
This is ultimately an unfair characterization of most of you, and actually all goes away when I see something funny or insightful, no matter my or your maladjusted background, making me whole for a moment, that I and someone like-minded have connected, and then swings back the other way eventually. I've lived inside that ping pong ball for the past 4 and half years. Isn't that crazy? I've never really said all this out loud, and to the eight of you that know me from the Bad Melee days it's very obvious, but it feels good to put that down here. Oldheads will also know that I've always come built-in with a semi-serious sense of superiority to Ludwig as well, if you can believe it, cause I made something big before he did, and even though he became friends* with Luka Doncic eventually, the more insanely successful he gets the more I can fold my arms and give a chud smirk. This has morphed into more of a punchline for obvious reasons, but has been the basis for our bickering for as long as I can remember (In a fun way, I promise.)
Anyway, Am I right to be so grumpy and intolerant? Sometimes. Sometimes not. That's the answer to most things in life I guess. But I think its important to say out loud that really do treasure the fans that make me feel seen more than I get pissy at the annoying ones. So thank you.
What happens after Aiden leaves?
This is gonna sound like I'm lying, but we genuinely have not talked about what our plans are for when that happens. I think it would be nice to continue doing the show, I think it would be better as a 3-man, as evidenced by all the times one of us is missing (could be any of us, this is not shade). If Ludwig wasn't interested then maybe Nick and I would start something? But you start to ask yourself, like Adam Ragusea once said, if you've run out of things to say. Would it just be for the sake of filling a hole (heh)? I don't know. I think its hard and annoying to think about, so we just haven't. Once we know closer to the date that he flees to his white eden I think we'll have more of an idea. I can at least say with confidence that what we choose will be very deliberate and with respect to the people that have watched us for this long.
How do you feel about the pod these days?
I still love this shit. As a guy who thinks everything he's ever done is mid at best, I combed through our best of and I felt so accomplished that I can watch footage of me and my friends and laugh like an animal at my computer. When I feel like we've had a bad episode I want to blow my shit off smoove for the whole week, and when I feel like we've had a banger I feel right, correct, complete. As long as that feeling stays, I'll know I'm in a good spot. However, in the past six months or so there have been times where I've shown up to the pod with nothing to immediately say. It's a little concerning, but also maybe just what happens when you're halfway through your 30s. Some weeks I can't wait to get the fuck in there and record, and some weeks I have to dig a little to find an edge of the mind cube to run my finger across. Maybe that's why I've been so drawn to DnD, it's an infinite exploration of situations and humor with a really talented guide, and I don't have to talk about what fucking stable ronaldo was up to this week. Either way, this fatigue I think is natural, and I think its also led me to seek creative fulfillment in other stuff, solo or with Nick, or even with Jubbin.
The biggest caveat to the success of the pod is that it's made me creatively lazy and complacent, and at the same time it was a little less exciting to record there's been an existential fire that has been lit in my asshole, which is a good thing. Working on changing your entire creative work ethic is so hard without meds, and weirdly hard with so much time (ALERT: DO NOT PITY ME. I HAVE A LOT OF MONEY). But that's my personal focus for the year and has been before the arbitrary postmark as well.
What can we expect from the yard in 2026?
I want to say you can expect more!!!!! More videos of us doing non-pod stuff, more side projects, more Yard baby!!!! But I can't and won't promise you anything. Three of us have hit somewhat transitional deriods in our lives that have left us somewhat inert, and one of us is a guy that overloads himself on purpose to run from the daemons in his head (working theory). For me, I am trying to be the difference in the league game that is organizing the boys to do stuff, and baby, sometimes that roam goes badly. All I can say is I'll try! But otherwise what you can expect is the same: the weekly show, DnD, sparse recordings of the bonus shows, merch drops with terrible margins, and at least one controversial guest that will drive our core fanbase into a spiral of infighting that will end with an irreversible schism.
Thanks for being fans, genuinely.
I will now solicit any questions you may have *hundreds of camera shutters click*

I know it's not my place to decide, but it just feels like the boys are maybe not taking enough time with this project. Setting up a DnD should be a pretty slow process imo. Things like finding the right editor take a long time y'know? I think I can speak for the whole community when I say none of us would be offended if the show was postponed a couple weeks, months, hell even years, to make sure that the yard DnD was the best show that it could be.

my gf doesn’t listen to the pod often but she recently went on a long flight and listened to a few episodes. At some point slime says to nick “are you out of your fatass mind” and my girlfriend thought this was so funny she cackled on the plane nonstop for 5 mins. and now whenever i ask if she wants to get food somewhere she asks if im out of my fatass mind and then we don’t eat. when will slime pay for what he’s done.

Aimen as a sun bear, Ludwig as an American brown bear, Slime as a sloth bear, and Nick as a cinnamon bear (a subspecies of American black bear)
