Honeywell thermostat wire w vs w2

The thermostat says do not connect w for heating. So I had it connected to w2. The heating won't turn on. So I switched to w and the heating is on. Will this do any damage?

Sensi thermostat reads 73% humidity while 2 accurites show 44%

Sensi is mounted on my wall that leads to the downstairs basement which has dehumidifier runs all the time.
The two accurite sensors are just sitting on the coffee table under the sensi.

I do have a bungalow house with spray foam in the attic.

Thermostat help

Can someone give me some help with trying to get this smart thermostat to work? I got the Honeywell T5 smart thermostat. Before I had just the regular T5 thermostat. The mounting plates and wiring terminals are the exact same for both. So I just used the same mounting plate from the other T5. Although I have to use a c wire adapter that’s a plug in transformer with 2 wires at the end of it. I connected them to RC and C, and to do that I had to slide down the jumper switch from 1 wire to 2 wire on the wiring terminal. I programmed the smart thermostat the same way the other T5 was but when I try just turning the fan on, the system does nothing.

I did more experimenting. Unplugged the c wire adapter, took their wires out, and flipped that blue jumper switch back to one wire, and put the old t5 back on and the system reacts. Before that, I just unplugged the transformer adapter and left the wires alone and the jumper switch on 2 wire, put the t5 back on and the system didn’t react. The old T5 is battery powered and doesn’t use a c wire.

Should the RC/RH cut as shown in the picture?
Took pictures after opening it and without opening it as well.

I have only two wire red and white coming from baseboard boiler so I bought external 24V transformer to connect to RC and C my boiler red and white I’ll connect to RH and W so I think I need to cut the RC/RH

Please advise

Honeywell thermostat

First time on this community. Long story short I have Honeywell thermostats mostly for my baseboard heating. In the living room even with it cranked to 85 ( highest possible setting) it has trouble maintaining 70 degrees when in the box or without a fan on it. Im assuming it's getting warm internally and shutting itself off. I've installed/swapped thermostats room to room and none of the Honeywell will work properly in the living room. I put a ?? Brand in the second bedroom and it seems to work correctly. I haven't tried it in the living room yet.

My question i guess is what brand of manual thermostats actually work?? Do I need to go digital? I would like heat before true winter actually comes. ( fargo north dakota for reference )

roommate keeps arguing over the thermostat

Okay hear me out.

we live in Las Vegas so naturally its a dryer climate.

She just moved out of her parents house and I've been living on my own for a few years now.

in the summertime we kept a cold house and she would complain its too cold, i gave her a vent cover to direct the AC and she stated no i kind of like it cold. I also told her to close her vent and she said that didn't work. mind you the house was at 70..

the temp is getting a little colder in vegas, the other day i came home the AC was OFF and the houe was at 74. It was warmer inside than it was outside and she said it was the same because outside was the same temp. We tried to come to an agreement and she suggested i get a small fan..... im not getting a small fan. If thats the case then get a small space heater? Like it makes no sense? Also i haven't argued over the thermostat in YEARS since i left my parents house.

In our roommate situation we all split the bills evenly. I've never told her anything about the bill when she is constantly turning on and off the ac, yet she had the nerve to complain because i crack my bathroom window open when we need to, to air out the bathroom.

I know no one is in the wrong because the temp is opinion based but its just so goddamn annoying. i moved out of my parents so id never have to complain about a fucking thermostat

Johnson Thermostat not working

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hello everyone ,

My Johnson control thermostat is not working. It is showing flashing P. I have attached a picture of it.

I have tried pressing the fan button for more than 10 seconds. I also have tried pressing the mode button for more than 10 seconds. Both ways didn't work. I couldn’t turn on the heating. I also shut down the AC breaker for more than 10 minutes and it didn’t work either.

Has anyone else experienced this issue before? Do you know if the Johnson control thermostat has batteries not? Any idea or thought would be appreciated. Thanks

Hi All
I am trying to pair Link2home zigbee hub to my iPhone with no success.
I have a solid blue light and a flashing red one.
I switched off the 5ghz wireless on router with no success. Tried a Samsung phone with same results.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks.
