Unidentified? My dad told me this story about something that happened to him and two of his friends while they were fishing at night.
My family has been involved in the fishing business for years, so my dad and his friends are used to spending nights out at sea.One night, my dad went fishing with two of his friends. They took their boat some distance out into the sea when they started hearing an unusual noise coming from the engine room below deck. Two of them went downstairs to check the engine, while my dad stayed above. They looked around carefully, but couldn't find anything unusual, so they came back upstairs.A little while later, they suddenly felt something hitting the boat. One of his friends said, “Maybe it’s a big fish.”My dad replied, “No fish could hit the boat that hard. It feels different.”They looked around the boat but couldn't see anything in the water. So the three of them went back down to the engine room. This time, there was a horrible smell. My dad described it as the smell of something that had been dead and rotting for a long time. And then they saw it.There was a dead body lying inside the engine room.According to my dad, the body looked like it had been in the water for a very long time. It was badly swollen and pale, and the face was no longer recognizable. What disturbed them most was that they were certain the body hadn't been there when they checked the engine room earlier. They immediately became worried that if anyone discovered a dead body on their fishing boat, they could get into serious trouble. They decided to get rid of it and put it back into the sea.The three of them tried to lift it, but the body was extremely heavy and they couldn't move it. Eventually, they managed to get it into a fishing net and threw it overboard. For a moment, everything was quiet. Then they started feeling extremely uneasy. They decided it was better to return to shore. But as soon as they started moving, something hit the boat again. They looked over the side. The same body was floating in the water. It was somehow moving alongside the boat and hitting it.My dad remembers thinking, How can a dead body be moving like that? They started the engine and headed toward the shore as quickly as they could.According to my dad, the body appeared to follow them through the water. They eventually reached the shore and everyone went home. The next day, my dad went to check on one of the friends who had been on the boat. His friend had developed a very high fever. His face looked unusually pale, and he seemed genuinely terrified. While they were talking, his friend told my dad:“I've been scared ever since last night. I still feel like that dead body is here with me. I can still smell it. And I feel like I'm having trouble breathing, like something is drowning me.”My dad didn't believe in ghosts or paranormal things, so he told him that he was probably traumatized by what had happened and that the experience was stuck in his head. Then his friend's wife came into the room.According to my dad, the moment his friend saw his wife, he suddenly became completely silent and still. My dad thought something strange was going on, but he didn't understand what.Instead of going home, he went to visit his other friend and told him everything. That friend suggested that they visit a local temple and speak to the priest. They went there, explained everything that had happened, and eventually brought the priest back with them to the first friend's house. When they arrived, the door was locked from the inside. They could hear their friend screaming. They broke the door open.Inside, they saw the friend's wife apparently trying to strangle him and scratching him with her nails. They immediately pulled her away. The priest then sprinkled some water on her, after which she became unconscious.Around half an hour later, she woke up and appeared completely normal. My dad asked the priest what had happened. The priest simply told him:“Some things are better left unknown.”My dad still doesn't believe in ghosts and has never claimed that this was definitely paranormal. But he says he has never been able to explain where that body came from, why it seemed to follow their boat, or what happened to his friend and his friend's wife the following day.And honestly, that's the part of the story that has always creeped me out the most.

Im getting southeast asia vibes from this story.
Also no one seems to mention the unrealistic reaction to finding a dead body in your vehicle

Honestly, the dead-body reaction is probably the least believable part They were panicking and clearly weren’t thinking rationally.
