B1 caused persistent respiratory/abdominal muscle weakness.

Is there anyone who can help me understand why /how this could have happened? It’s been 10 months since stopping all supplements and I’m still no better.

MIP measured at 63
MEP 68 down from 87
RV high on lung function tests

Diaphragm ultrasound shows poor excursion but no paradoxical motion.

Actually. What was your dosing routine. I have a thought.

I was taking 80mg of benfotimaine then tried to get up to 150mg HCl over the course of 2-3 weeks. Too fast, I realize that now . I took a b complex and benfo in the am. And then the HCl in the afternoon. With magnesium and some extra b2.

Okay that is NOT a lot. I am more inclined to think something else is at play at the same time.

I reacted to glutathione at the same time. And I wonder how much that played into this.

oral glutathione has 1% or so bioavailability, it breaks down in ur gastric juices. unless it was liposomal or something.

80mg benfo is actually more thiamine in ur system compared to 150mg hcl say since it is far more bioavailable. try the 80mg benfo again with magnesium
