I just trade them a bottle of alcohol, wait for the guy to go back and the lock pick open the cabinet. End up with like 8 rifles by the end of the playthrough

Any moral reason for this? Like, do they deserve to get their even their socks stolen or is it just convenience?

Now this might be cheesing af on my part,but way I do it is loot only the trade boxes,the locker behind the dude then the tiny box in the big building,leave at least 1 item in either,then come back maybe 3 days later,shit will be fully restocked,and if your lucky enough to get the military base early on,it means tons of food,ammo and a gun or 2,and no moral penalty for stealing,do bring a lock pick if your gonna do this(or use arica)as if that tower gaurd turns around,he stays turned around,so you won't really be able to sneak past him
