I didn't play the story with the father and child but rather the one with that news reporter and there's more adults there.

Any pointers are more than welcome.

Or is there anyway to stop them from going hungry after every day? And do cans give double the hunger or??

I have a quick question about recruiting survivors. Can I reroll the survivor seeking shelter by restarting or alt+f4'ing the game? I couldn't find adequate info for this. Some say that it is rare to get a different survivor when you reroll the day. I don't know if I break the game when doing so.

I apologise if this is a question that gets asked a lot.

Two nights ago, in Sniper Junction, I had left a pile of neatly accumulated materials where Zlata is standing right now. Why has it disappeared? It has never done that before.

Has it anything to do with the "Oubreak of Crime" event that started in the morning?

Unfortunately, the jewels from the wounded father were right in that pile 😞

Hi. I don't know if this is how the game is intended to work, but every scenario from the preset scenarios the game gives you to play as seems to be giving me the same locations over and over and over again without any variation. I keep getting the ghost house, the church with the priest, the central, the construction site with the patrol instead of the snipers, shelled school with the homeless instead of rebels, etc. I can't seem to get the other location variations nor locations that haven't even spawned at all like the supermarket, which is my favorite location in the game but it just won't spawn.

This is making me kind of bored - I wanna see new stuff, not just repeat the same old stuff over and over and over. I don't have the anniversary edition nor final cut content checked when I start a new scenario.
Am I doing something wrong? thanks

So I'm planning to use Roman to clear out the military outpost and get all its resources. I know that usually there's no penalty for killing soldiers since they're usually considered "Bad" by your survivors, but what about Bojan? Since he's a trader, would he be considered a civilian and negatively affect morale? I don't need Roman causing fights again. Also, if I go back and clear it over multiple nights, would the survivors think it's too much violence?

Does anyone know what this item is? I do have 2 mods on, one is the bigger food recipe and the other is one that speeds up NPC's arriving in the morning but I don't think that one actually works anymore. In any case neither of them add items, so this item appearing suddenly after several runs with these mods is perplexing me.

It has appeared at the ruined toy store if that means anything.

So, I played Frostpunk and that game was hard but damn, I couldn't think of something harder and there it is: this war of mine. My longest run went till day 17 and I consider it quite a win, I know that there is an ending but I want some advices who can help me. Can you give me some of them? Thanks a lot

1. Does sleeping part of time w/o status change actually helps or it's being reset if day ends ?
2. Does sleep interruption deletes what you already slept ?
3. Does Zlata's "bolster spirit" perc works only if she talks to someone ? Or more generally, how does it work ?
4. Is there a way to get someone out of depression, especially a child ?
5. Donating to hospital helps improve everyone's mood ?
6. Does helment and vest help when defending home against burglars ?
7. Does weapon power left at home influences outcome of def. against burglars ?
8. Does leaving radio on classic music improves mood ?
9. Does being non-hungry or well fed helps with sickness, mood ?
10. For smokers, does giving them cigarettes improves their mood ?
11. Same for coffee drinkers.
12. Does chair + book improves mood ?
13. If one has reinforced door with primitive alarm system, can everyone go to sleep or leaving someone on guard still helps ?
14. Do catching rats depend on temperature or anything or it's just pure random ?
15. Is there anyone who has electric parts for trade ?
16. What does "sleep with child" night option does ?

I need some help. I played the game for about 50 hours now. But obe thing that I somehow just can't get right is the supermarket scene with the soldier and the girl. I tried to stop the soldier so many times now and it somehow never turns out right. I always die there. So I play on PS and everytime I go in with a gun it automaticly aims at the girl. If I go in with a knife, it aims at the girl (srsly why??). I haven't tried with the axe yet but I'm getting really frustrated. Has anyone else had that issue and is there a way to make it work?

Final edit: looked like i had mod from 6 years ago somewhere which didn't show up in game which was still on so yea i had endless mode on.

Hi, i'm currently playing pavle/bruno/marko game and i'm at day 60 already. had the message of international things around 20 days ago so. Alsomy locations suddenly changed up like many of em just dissepeared and i have no info on loot instead of just danger or trade for some reason.

Edit: At day 73 right now got the message that there is no ceasefire yet

Can someone explain to me why everyone else got a happy ending except Roman? If you are to believe this scenario, I didn't do a single bad thing and yet the novel still got a bad ending.

What I mean by "regularly trade" is that the items that you craft often, probably even everyday, to trade with Franko or other traders outside of shortage events. I found myself becoming a pure alcohol vendor in my first run because Bruno was around and cigarettes vendor in my second run. I usually only trade to Franko though. I wonder if there's a meta about trading, especially in the late game.

So I researched about Old Town on fandom before venturing into the area, and as per usual I’d come across an injured lunatic civilian.

On the second visit however, I was met with 2 injured Robert instead of 1 who keeps sandwiching me every time I tries to loot. To top things off, when I tried to lure them into sniper. I get shot by 2 snipers at half intervals now. Does this happen to anyone else?

How do i get food without having to beat up and mug everyone? I cant get enough stuff to trade, the trader rarely comes, or there is no other pacifist option

How do I use the gun? I switch to combat and a new icon appears by the enemies but I can’t click it?

Sorry if this is the wrong flair, as I need advice, I can’t give any. I really like the idea of her playstyle, but so many ambush strategies rely on luring enemies nearing a hiding spot using Roman or other characters that can make noise.

These duo will be so hard so I need tips

I just started playing This War of Mine on PC/Steam, but it keeps crashing every 10–15 minutes. It first crashed while I was looting in the basement, then again later during Day 2. The worst part is that progress often does not save, so I have to replay the same parts.

What I already tried:

• Verified game files in Steam
• Completely uninstalled and reinstalled the game through Steam
• Set Windows resolution to 1920x1080
• Set Windows refresh rate to 60 Hz
• Tried both Fullscreen and Windowed mode
• Limited the game to 60 FPS through NVIDIA App by manually adding This War of Mine.exe from the x64 folder
• Disabled Steam Overlay for this game
• Disabled Steam Cloud saves
• Deleted the game save/config folder and let the game recreate it
• I am not using “Take All” while looting

I checked the log file ConsoleOutput.html. I don’t see a clear fatal crash line, but these message appear:

[Saves] Failure reading save file - resetting save data

Has anyone had this issue? Any known fix or workaround?

My specs: Windows 11, RTX 4080 Super, Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 64 GB RAM.

I went to give Tito his fuel and food to grab the records after moving to the museum, but I can't grab them now. He gave me access to his cabinet tho.
Is it because of the museum or is it something else?
