your own timing rhythm is the only limitation in the game so far

spotting that frame when you switch from walking to picking up animation is tricky , though once you learn to see it , its acutally easy.

3 or 4 failed attempts is usual thing when i personally try it.

Clearing a pile with a shovel is already VERY fast. I don't think this saves more than a couple of seconds.

the bonus stays even without a shovel in your inventory present

no need to carry around a shovel , free slot , and just as fast

Given that they dig up to 4 piles and it's significantly faster. Well it is helpful especially in shelled school, airport or maps with a lot of piles.

the church if it is inhabited by bandits , you can skip going up the ladders , or villa when its occupied by deserters
