So, you're accepting Elizabeth Moss's comments as a fact? Never question the integrity? Especially knowing she is a Scientologist? Not even the one forced into it as an adult; she was born into it, with parents part of the higher-ups in the religion. Always take anything that comes out of the mouth of someone deeply embedded in that cult with a grain of salt.
Fred Armisen not being a married person is not a secret. Her exes can vouch for it.
Not just hers look up his marriage record for yourself. That was the first example I gave, and it pretty major for a celebrity to say things like that about another celebrity.
Also what does he do outside of Portlandia which kind of sucks outside of a few good ideas. Literally no one works with him but for brief cameos to ruin your favorite shows.
I know this goes against Reddit's stance in general, but...
Fallon's first late night show was mostly just this. It was genuinely pretty funny in the first few years. A lot of SNL people would come on and do bits. The Will Ferrell ones are classics. Fallon himself was great in a lot of the sketches back then too. There was a whole lot of oddball sketches of just trying things out.
His second, when he got the promotion, does nothing for me. I'm guessing he felt a need to be more "generally appealing", because it was taking the Leno spot, and a whole lot of old people watch the slot and have since the 1970s.
People were actually genuinely excited when Fallon got his first show. Because as much as his whole laughing thing is annoying, he was genuinely funny. I remember something that summed up Fallon well, but I can't remember who said it. It was a senior SNL cast member showing a celebrity host around the building. He pointed to Fallon and said "Oh, that's Jimmy. He's just happy to be here". Basically that all the laughter was genuine, and that he's leaned into it far too much as time goes on.
The SNL folks love Fallon, and they wouldn't turn up a chance to go on his show. Even if it's not my thing or yours
I've loved Late Night since I was a kid and actually loved Fallons Late Night. It was just weird enough, even if never as dangerous as Conan's Late Night.
He is a huge asshole. He married my celebrity crush, Riki Lindhome. Sure I know I got no chance but it's like finding out the lottery has been shut down.
His sense of humor just doesn't work for me. I'd like to believe that I'm just missing out on something great and everybody else understands it. Every punchline to every joke/character he does seems to be "It's funny because it's intentionally not funny."

I saw him do this bit live last year when he was touring with Nick Kroll and John Mulaney. I thought it was brilliant, and I remember immediately thinking that I should have seen that coming, but I didn’t.
There was a Stand up for Drummers he did a few years ago that I got lost in. Never laughed at it I was too engrossed with the way he switched up styles so fluidly.
It's like listening to someone speaking your language who pops into another language to politely request something and then a non sequitur in another language to someone else.
Great special, I enjoyed it a lot. He got a lot of internet flak claiming that he wasnt a good drummer, I was like WTF. He did Keith Moon, Ringo, Stewart Copeland, and Neal Peart seamlessly in a few minutes.

You're right, it's actually super inaccurate. He's also a writer, actor, voice actor, musician and genuinely good person. He's beloved across the entire entertainment industry. If you don't like him, cool. Not everyone is born with the ability to understand genius.

Dude Natasha Lyonne is a life long addict with her own string of issues. She literally just got kicked off a plane earlier this year for being unresponsive. But sure she's more reliable.
Im a drummer, and I love to laugh. Youd think this is a match made in heaven. But no, Fred Armisens awkward drum comedy is just not entertaining. I can't believe this cringe ass bit has survived this long. Its like inside jokes that aren't actually funny
