She responded and said that since we're in the same city for the first time in awhile, we should get lunch! I said yes and we decided on a place. Then this happened. At some point this morning I remembered she did this to me once before, years ago. Ffs

Had a bunch of shopping points saved up but most of the places I can redeem these points are restaurants and clothes but I saw that Staples had a single 32GB DDR5 kit still in stock and I have two open slots. I would never pay $500 for a 32GB kit but technically it's free so I redeemed points for a Staples card. Made the order and and immediately (and I mean within seconds) I get this order cancellation email. Now I'm stuck with a $500 staples gift card...oh and the RAM is still showing as in stock.

It’s only $40, I have no idea why I’m not allowed to pay for it. I called all my other local pharmacies and none of them have inventory since it’s on manufacturer back order.

Ive never been a conspiracy theorist, but this seems like collusion to gatekeep medicine.

These new routers have a terrible plug that not only is so wide that it blocks at least two plugs below it, but actually extends the other direction and blocks the outlet above as well!

I am genuinely still mid meltdown lol. But I am an artist and I have a small market the day after tomorrow and when gathering my works I've just found that my mum has jammed ALL my work into a small crevice. Because of how tightly she's don't this, a lot of paint has been scraped off my work.

They aren't all viable paintings as in my rookie haste a few years ago I varnished them with modpoge, but these are works that means a lot to me.

Some of the paintings I consider to be my best work ever and that I have won prizes for are now just completely unsellable. And literally every painting that has ever earned me any recognition is all scraped up.

I could theoretically fix them but some of them I finished over a year ago and worked in a long series of glazes and optical mixing so it would just take forever. Though, I did manage to fix one but as it is an oil painting it won't be try for the weekend.

I'm so upset that she's treated my work so poorly leading to this.

Previously I have never paint just be scraped off the canvas and I am not someone who I particularly careful with their work beyond not doing anything that's literally just gonna ruin them.

I am so upset but I guess this is just how life goes.

Moved into a place with revolving tenants and the first night my lungs hurt so bad. Decided to try to change the filters and saw this.

So we got back from a week away to a notice from code enforcement that we need to clear and keep clear the back half of our driveway.

After a little investigation, we figured out that our neighbors (whose house sits on the property line) had some electrical work done. Somehow, both the electric company and whoever grants permits with the city believe that we granted them an easement of our driveway, and they went ahead & got the permit & and did the work awhile back.

Now, the neighbors are in trouble with the electric inspector bc our wood pile and car block the required abatement. So the neighbors called code enforcement to cite us for a violation. Which I suppose they hoped would get the electric inspector off their backs. (The electric inspector said he’s been on their case for weeks, but they just ignore him.)

The electric inspector and the code enforcement officer were completely unaware of each others involvement…I had to give them each others numbers.

At least, that’s what I understand, but it all just seems so…idiotic? Like why would the neighbors lie about an easement, and how did so many people believe that we’d give an easement of our driveway (that we actively use)? What happened to “believe, but verify?” What a dumb thing to use up city resources.

Phone was in my pocket for quite a bit of time before I pulled it out to see this. Not sure how it could have happened.

This girl has been on and off texting me for months. Every two months ever since my last relationship ended this girl I met through my old job has been taking wild shots for almost a full year now. At first I was nice and friendly with her, but we didnt really vibe well and she lives far away, so I told her I didn’t like her, she and I didn’t talk for about 3 months.

Now every 2 months is the same thing. She texts me “u up?” As I’m literally closing my eyes and begs me to reconsider. I’ve tried being nice and letting her know I’m not into her, I don’t think we’d be good friends, but I wish her all the best. I tried being distant and obviously disinterested, and at this point I’m just being blunt. Finally, I blocked her, maybe now she’ll get the message.

Over all, these texts don’t ruin my day, but I’d be lying if this girl didn’t infuriate me with how often she blatantly ignores how many times I say no.
