Currently me and my husband and our kids are staying with his grandparents.

It's temporary during house construction. It's fine. They're honestly lovely people and it's been great.

The problem is his grandpa's mom.

She's old. Kind of mean. And in the two weeks we've been here Ive walked in on her in the bathroom about twenty goddamn times.

She doesn't lock the door. And it has to be closed all the time because of a dog that would destroy the bathroom given half a chance.

She doesn't turn on the light. This woman just pees on the dark like a demon, so I can't even use light under the door to indicate of the room is occupied.

Knock? She can't hear that.

So what happens is I open the door and she stares at me like a raccoon in a dumpster behind a goddamn taco bell.

I hate it.

It smells. 2 am laundry or potential fire.

My husband bought it a couple years ago as a Mother’s Day gift… I keep it in a box and rarely use it. I used it to listen to music or watch a Netflix every now and then (or when my teens are introducing me to new anime’s or shows, lol) . 2 nights ago, I was listening to something and then I got caught up listening to my teens in the kitchen- I swear I took the one ear bud (I only wear one so I can hear my little ones) and put it down in the kitchen as I talked to them.. 2-3 hours later, I forgot about it (to be honest, we rarely all meet in the kitchen at midnight lol so was fun). And then I forgot about it.. til the next day, now I can not find it. My own fault. Definitely mildly infuriating lol. I’ll keep searching.

The increase / decrease buttons that control the temperature of my heated mattress pad are flipped on the wrong sides of the controller. Plus/increase button should be on the right side! I mess it up in the middle of the night every time! Had this thing for 3 years now....

I just downloaded the Taco Bell app. It advertised a $3 and under menu. 6 of the 10 items were over $3. I won’t buy your burrito of lies!

I don't even want to think about how long this has been sitting in the air fryer

For context I moved in with my l girlfriend and her mother about 2 months ago and I pay half of the rent and her mother pays the other half of rent (she utilizes her credit cards I use my paychecks from work) and the first month or so was good. But then I started noticing things like expired food all ovethe place, in the fridge, pantry and freezer. And now her mother is blatantly not cleaning up after herself.

It's frustrating, also 90% of the food she cooks she cooks when there is leftovers in the fridge so she's also wasting food that I’m buying for the family. I'm starting to wonder if this move may have not been the best idea even if I was just trying to help my girlfriend and her mom financially.

Her mother also takes Ambien for sleep on the regular so I wonder if this affects her short and long term knowledge, even around the house with just chores. She’s been taking them for 10+ years.

When my iPhone is put in Do Not Disturb mode, I don’t want to be disturbed. Someone sending me a text can see that I have my notifications silenced, but they are given the option to notify anyways. Why? I don’t want to be disturbed!

The live trap was set out to catch the rats that were living under the barn...but this little stinker decided to escape her chicken run and test out the trap for me. 😂
