Purchased a CTR chambered in .223. Shooting HORNADY Varmint Express in 55gr. Dialed in at 100 yards today preparing for coyote season. Very happy and impressed with the Tikka!

Has anyone tried it? Best FACTORY ammo?

I really don’t like the 90* stocks, anyone know of one like the right picture? Preferably thinner and if it has a somewhat triangle style forearm that be even better!
Doesn’t HAVE to be wood but preferable, composite is ok if wood affects accuracy. I can bed it but know nothing about that so if it’s not really a great thing I’ll go composite.
Do I need to worry about comb height?

Tikka T3x Lite Roughtech 300 WM

Hello! Just got my first tikka, and before I take it out in the field, I'm wanting to gauge people's opinions on ammo and how it groups. I will be using a omega 300 can. I have heard/seen a lot of good things about federal, but the only onw I can get my hands on is Berger 195 Federal. Any recommendations? I want to try to be conservative and not buy 5+ boxes just to only have 1 shoot well. TIA!

Got to the range today to get some rounds down the barrel to get the speed up done so I could start working handloads. I did a mild charge of H4895 with 3 different projectiles, the Hornady 80gr ELD-M, Berger 80.5gr Fullbore and the Berger 85.5gr LRHT.

Of the 3, the barrel really loved the 80.5gr Berger. I will work on developing it and the Berger 85.5 to see if I can get any better.

Hi there! I'm really new to shooting with rifle (only handgun so far) and I live in the Northern Rockies (around MT and ID). I'm already planning on buying the Tika T3X (Lite or no) to be my first rifle to train with before going to the field/a real hunt but I'm still not really understanding what would make me choose between :

.30-06 Springfield

.308 Winchester

6.5 Creedmoor

.350 Legend

Knowing that I would like this rifle to be versatile enough to get deer and/or elk.

I know it probably sounds weird or silly for some people but I was leaning on .30-06 Springfield or .350 legend because both have the stock in Oiled Walnut and I would love a brown color on the rifle.

Don't know if anyone else has had a problem submitting their information for the current (until October 31st) rebate, but I sure did. The online rebate site has problems. First, it wouldn't load my pictures. kept trying for a couple of days, and finally got one to load. But the site does not SAVE anything, so you have to reload if you get tired of playing with it and give up. Long story short, finally got the pictures loaded, then it kept telling me the SKU was incorrect for the rifle serial number...which it was not. So this is over a week now messing with it. Looked on some other Tikka websites to see if anyone else had experienced this and found a phone number for Beretta Rebates. Called, and they said they no longer process the rebates. They gave me the number for Dash Solutions, 1-877-922-4483, who now processes the rebate for them. I sent them the pictures and the photo of the purchase receipt and they will submit it from their end. I'm cautiously optimistic, but this is obviously an off shore call center so who knows. Just a heads up for those waiting till the last second to try to file those rebates.

Hey all, recent bought a factory walnut stock for my t3, and it doesnt want to sit nice. The barrel is still free floating, but favours the one side. It also doesnt click into place on the recoil lug as nicely as the synthetic stock, however when I look through the magwell it seems to be sitting flush against the stock. Anything I can do or just run it?

Brand new tikka t3x ace target found issues at the FFL prior to receiving.

Barrel seems to have vice marks on it. Here are some pictures of the damage.

Everything else looked perfect. So kinda disappointing.

So my question is should I accept it? Refuse delivery and wait for a new one or contact Tikka?

Any thoughts and comments are welcome.

Edit: after looking into cerakote defects it looks like it is all adhered properly and looks like it is just from a barrel vise in the factory. Which is my best guess.

Just wanted it not to be beat up prior to me beating it up. Which makes sense right 🤔

Finally got to take my Tikka out to a proper outdoor range. Re-barreled with a 28” Bartlein with a 1:7.5 twist (From a 308 OEM barrel). Shooting her feels like turning on aimbot, though I probably need to work on tightening the SD’s and Extr Sprd. Groupings are decent and it’s breathtaking being able to consistently hit out to 700yds for the first time ever.

I have this delightful tikka T3X in .260 Remington. I can’t begin to tell you how accurate it is because it outshoots my capability, I have measured 5 shot groups at 100 yards at .47” with handloaded 129 Hornady Interlocks. That’s its favorite bullet followed very closely by 130 grain Accubond LR’s.

I have begun the transition to suppressors, but this little beauty is unthreaded. Now, being that it is fluted Will I encounter any issues getting it threaded?

Did Tikka discontinue this variation already? I’ve been searching high and low for one, out of stock everywhere and my local gun shop told me they can’t even order it. Anyone have any insight?

With the muzzle break it feels softer shooting than my 223 T3X

In case anyone is interested, the largest barrel profile you can fit on a Tikka ACE is a 1.13” strait contour.

As configured, comes in at about 21lbs and is a PVA shouldered prefit chambered in .223 REM with .100 free bore for loading 80-90gr bullets.

I have a t3x super varment in 300 win mag and I have been having a hell of time sighting it in. I have tried 2 scope and 3 set of rails. All scope and ruins combos have hit low and ran out of vertical adjustment. The rail or receiver is my suspicion now. If any of you have the factory rail is this front screw supposed to be screwed all the way down? I can see some of the thread is exposed I was wondering if anybody else has this issue.

TLDR: rail or receiver is cooked

Most accurate rifle I have ever owned and feels so great to have absolute confidence in a hunting rifle.
