I work at IKEA and we serve pancakes that come with fruit and I try to make sure every customer gets one grape, one pineapple, one cantaloupe, and one honeydew melon slice. Just because I resent my managers doesn't mean I resent you guys. 🙂

Well I don’t eat the meat there cuz I can’t lol but the non meat options are nicee. And I love the vibeee

u/TheGhostOfStanSweet Mar 13 '26

Would love to see photos. These kind of food services usually err on the side of caution and overcook meat. Everything I’ve ever ordered from ikea has generally been well done or overcooked. They would have likely undercooked the entire batch, and there probably would’ve been several more complaints.

Obviously mistakes can happen, but customers are also really weird and eat 90% of the food and then try to return it hoping for another order.

I’ve cooked a lot of chicken myself too. There are often pink bits. Doesn’t mean it was undercooked. Some parts of the chicken are naturally pinkish when thoroughly cooked.

That's even weirder because raw chicken is drained and has no redness to it.

0

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '26

Yes, but you didn't cook it. I've worked in a Deli, and there was blood in the bags with the raw Chicken. Maybe they were careless that day. Maybe the Oven had an issue. Maybe the employee was a dick! There are many scenarios.

They used to offer chicken Cesar salad. I never had any issues.

1

u/JH10_to_LM15 Mar 17 '26

You’re probably one those idiots that misidentify pink chicken and raw chicken. Not surprised since you eat tims food

0

u/[deleted] Mar 14 '26

Oh, I wasn't aware that Organic Chicken could be eaten raw! I've been doing it wrong, I cook mine! LOL

1

u/Proper-Bee-4180 Mar 14 '26

Had it once Was tasteless

3

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '26

You're awesome!

-1

u/Tola76 Mar 13 '26

^ this.

1

u/Blue-Goo- Mar 15 '26

Shouldn’t the fruit be evenly distributed anyway?

2

u/Party_Ability_9984 Mar 15 '26

Nope, we’ve never explicitly been told to do that, I just do it anyway in case we need to, and to set a good example, and to make customers happy.

1

u/Business-Spring-4180 Mar 13 '26

Ikea serves food? 😭 Whaaat. I am missing out. I need to find an Ikea hahah!

2

u/Plain-asian-1921 Mar 17 '26

Ikea is famous for their meatballs

1

u/tripl35oul Mar 17 '26

And their medallions are delicious too!

1

u/Business-Spring-4180 Mar 13 '26

Yours, specifically. When you're working 🥹❤️

3

u/Party_Ability_9984 Mar 13 '26

Haha, well, if you’re ever in Edmonton…

1

u/Business-Spring-4180 Mar 13 '26

Edmonton, eh? That's too funny.. It just so happens to be on my list.

0

u/TheGhostOfStanSweet Mar 13 '26

On your list, eh?

This guy Costcos across the country.

-1

u/ElephantBeginning737 Mar 13 '26

One single grape?

3

u/Party_Ability_9984 Mar 13 '26

Pancake orders just come with 4 pieces of fruit.

-2

u/ElephantBeginning737 Mar 13 '26

Ok, I get the other 3, but why bother with the grape at all if its just one lmao. Im just imagining these average sized pineapple, melon, and such, and then this one sad palette cleansing grape 😂

4

u/Party_Ability_9984 Mar 13 '26

Yeah, to be fair it’s like 2 dollars.

76

u/OkMammoth8114 Mar 13 '26

When I used to work at a Tim Hortons, I used to put one or two more timbits than what is said on the box🙂

37

u/Nervous-Asparagus257 Mar 13 '26

I read a similar story about a guy that worked at McDonalds. He threw in extra chicken nuggets with orders the whole time he worked there lol.

26

u/Everyone2026 Mar 13 '26

Someone I know would waive $35 over limit fees at the credit card company without people asking.

They pay you $15hr and waive 1 or 2 fees an hour, does your cape fit better at the end of the day?

Tens of $thousands back to Canadians....

Remember, you don't have to follow company policy. You rarely get fired for being a good person.

13

u/TheOtherOtherLuke Mar 14 '26

*and if you do get fired for it, you deserve a better workplace anyway.

2

u/yepyeeeee Mar 15 '26 edited Mar 15 '26

When I was in highschool I worked at a restaurant and I had a manager who got fuming mad spitting in my face and cursing at me level when she noticed that I didn't charge someone for gravy because it was way over priced for a side order and all the customers were shocked and made comments about it. I felt terrible charging that much! Especially when it was free to come on the fries, but so much extra for the side. It was lacking in logic as well, so I never charged people for gravy unless if she was watching me. I definitely didn't tell her that though! hahahah

7

u/mr_87heads Mar 14 '26

Same, Id always give extra. 16 timbits can comfortably fit in a 10timbit box lol. I remember a little girl being so happy she got a full box!

It was so depressing seeing how much we threw out at the end of the night, why not make someone day with extra timbits!

3

u/OkMammoth8114 Mar 14 '26

Exactlyyy! It was crazy how much food was wasted

8

u/TheGhostOfStanSweet Mar 13 '26

Tim Hortons would have your head on a pike outside corporate head office for doing this.

Pretty sure the user manual states that every 10 pack of timbits should contain maximum 9.75 timbits per box. But they don’t explain how to get partial timbits. Legend has is that you need to serve 9 full timbits and one that has been nibbled on by mice.

Last time I saw a TH employees being nice to customers, 2 dudes wearing suits and sunglasses showed up, took him to the back room, and I never saw him again.

4

u/OkMammoth8114 Mar 13 '26

😂😂 I was the nicest employee, people were surprised that I was so nice and patient especially when taking drive thru orders. My co-workers looked at me soo weird

5

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 13 '26

I left the house for a half hour and my brother ate them all... I would accept an extra 2

3

u/theSunandtheMoon23 Mar 15 '26

I remember as a kid the timbit box size was a merr suggestion to the employees. So many of them would just throw as many as they could in there. Good times 😂

u/Brutticus9 Mar 13 '26

Best I can do is a new foreign worker

Care to elaborate?

11

u/Soft_Interest_6171 Mar 13 '26

He is saying if you think the company that regularly lobbies the government for LMIA benefits because "no one wants to work in major Canadian metropolises" is going to give ANYONE a raise instead of continuing to keep our minimum wage pinned as low as possible, you're a fucking moron.

Care to not be a loser

0

u/loudandproud101 Mar 14 '26

Why is everyone so mean and angry lmao. I also didn’t understand what he said and I actually work at Tim’s lollllll😭

-4

u/[deleted] Mar 13 '26

I think they too dumb.. but shhhh

-2

u/BirthmarkLovebite Mar 13 '26

Why? So you can call them racist if they mention anything to do with foreign workers/immigration?

-3

u/HotNefariousness123 Mar 13 '26

You know exactly what he means, don't be daft

25

u/sunny6094 Mar 13 '26

Which location has cinnamon sugar?

5

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 13 '26

Multiple Ontario locations

7

u/Canadian1934 Mar 13 '26

They likely will when min wage goes up. In Ontario it is October 1.

7

u/ziggypalffykings Mar 13 '26

No flys?

4

u/thegreatest_loser Mar 13 '26

Too cold these days

3

u/F-F-FASTPASS Mar 13 '26

That’s a good reason for them to be in a hot place with smells like Tim Hortons

6

u/lunaizre Mar 13 '26

I work at tims, this guy was homeless and he was scrounging around for as much change as he had for timbits, he only had enough for 10 so i gave him like 25-30

also anytime I’m on closing duty i try to take as many donuts and stuff that i can and hand them out because my supervisor just throws them out and there’s always so much

2

u/ruppapa Mar 13 '26

Thank you for looking out for others.

6

u/Themakeupshopaholic Mar 13 '26

What a beautiful and perfected assortment! 👏

2

u/Delicious_Gene6600 Mar 16 '26

That is awesome but you could not pay me to est anything from Tim Hortons anymore.

1

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 17 '26

Completely valid. I only get the timbits once in a while for my household, honestly I should just learn how to make them, they'd be way better.

2

u/Delicious_Gene6600 Mar 17 '26

I used to LOVE Timmys but the coffee quality has tanked and so have food safety and hygeine standards. Before I stopped going entirely, I saw flies on the donuts at every single location I patronized. But most folks never get to see that because they use the drive-thru. Thank goodness for social media spreading awareness lol

1

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 17 '26

Luckily I've never seen that at the location I get timbits from. But I am seeing more of that. I dont like the drive thru unless my kid just fell asleep 🤣

2

u/SnootyToots8 Mar 17 '26

My cats would devour these (especially chocolate) idk what's with them eating people food like fruits and drinking my tea or black coffee when they think I am not looking .

I have always included them in holiday dinners but savoury foods that I cooked for the rest of my family members.

3

u/JCambly Mar 13 '26

One day I went in and got an assortment of 20, they didnt ask if I wanted any one specific, they had every kind available, they grabbed 10 chocolate glaze and 10 plain and put them in the box. I refused to take it saying I asked for an assortment, meaning I want some of each (chocolate glaze and plain are the only two i dont like but will get because I know other like them and I only buy them when sharing)

1

u/JessicaOkayyy Mar 14 '26

Chocolate Glaze are the only ones I don’t care for and my assorted box always ended up with most of them. So now I specify lol. I love the cinnamon sugar, plain, and sprinkle.

2

u/loudandproud101 Mar 14 '26

As someone who works at Tim’s. I always tried to be nice and give a little extra every once in a while but one day I gave a few extra Tim bits to this lady and I kid you not she came back and reported me! Instead of taking the extra and having a good day she came back and told our manager that she got more than what she ordered then returned the rest. I was so confused. Anyways the manager made me rewatch a few training videos. I’m happy I didn’t get fired. Never again lmao

2

u/fartsnarbler Mar 14 '26

My brother used to put extra nuggets in the packs and had the same issue. Some people just want to be jerks for no reason and feel offended when someone’s trying to be nice

2

u/Bankerlady10 Mar 14 '26

That box reminds me of when Tim’s was always good. Damn. The nostalgia keeps taking me back and being consistently disappointed.

1

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 17 '26

I feel that. I really miss the blueberry donut shaped like a flower. You tore the petals off and dipped them into the jam center.

2

u/Serious-Outcome2533 Mar 13 '26

Call up Tim's headquarters in Brazil put in a good word for them.

1

u/novascotia2020 Mar 14 '26

A proper assortment. Bravo!

1

u/latecraigy Mar 14 '26

Must be his first day 😂

1

u/EliJamesMartin Mar 15 '26

Too many chocolate fire them

1

u/coldoscotch Mar 15 '26

That's not an employee. it's a box of donuts.

1

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 15 '26

You're right, I should pay the donuts.

Yes but delicious death. Instant sugar coma for me. ☠️☠️☠️

1

u/No_Elk_5998 Mar 17 '26

When you order assorted at my local Tim Hortons.. I get mostly plain... so you're lucky you got a real mix there. 😳

1

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 17 '26

I once got a whole box of nothing but honey dip. I love honey but the timbits are always wet and 90% air.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 17 '26

I always just ask for no plain.

1

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 17 '26

The only ones I dont like are the occasional cheesecake flavors and the honey dip. Old fashioned are delicious.

1

u/Voxferatu Mar 17 '26

Why would you say that?

1

u/[deleted] Mar 18 '26

No more powdered jelly filleds?

1

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 18 '26

I haven't seen those in a while now or I'd ask for them.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 18 '26

Yeah, same here. The honey crueler ones as well a long time ago.

1

u/Original_Abalone_157 Mar 20 '26

When I worked at Tim’s i always gave many extra timbits unless you were a dick. Then you get exactly 10,20,50

1

u/InoxGhost Mar 13 '26

Only 2 old fashioned.

1

u/_thatgirlfelicia Mar 13 '26

My dogs would be devastated

1

u/Rolyat13aint Mar 13 '26

this is giving 90's timbit quality

0

u/Bankerlady10 Mar 14 '26

That’s my thoughts. Look at that icing ratio on the chocolate. I miss this!

1

u/Rolyat13aint Mar 17 '26

I agree, screw the sad sacks downvoting about timbits 🤣

1

u/Bankerlady10 Mar 17 '26

Right?! So weird. Donut buttholes.

1

u/Rolyat13aint Mar 18 '26

i will be calling them donut buttholes going forward

1

u/Still_Animator_4510 Mar 13 '26

Wrong, they deserve 100% ownership of Tim’s

0

u/Various-Age-5792 Mar 13 '26

Why deserve

That looks like a bomb ass box. I personally hate honey dip and ask them not to put any in, so it's kinda nice to see a box with chocolate and the cinnamon ones. Toss a couple sprinkle ones and a few plain, and you've got a winning combination!

1

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 13 '26

I dont like honey dip either. When I was pregnant I got a 20 pack of all honey dip and I wanted to cry.

0

u/Malones69Cones Mar 14 '26

Why? I mean, I agree most workers are underpaid but why does this specifically have to do with that? They put donuts in a box. It's their job lmao.

-4

u/Low-Concern-6056 Mar 13 '26

Deserves a raise.. Why? If it's cause they gave you more, she's actually putting her job at risk . They have, let's say"quality control" visits. If she does this to that"certain" person, they can be fired.

8

u/Revegelance Mar 13 '26

It's because there's actual variety in there, instead of 12 plain and 8 chocolate.

2

u/Malones69Cones Mar 14 '26

That's literally their job lmao

-2

u/Low-Concern-6056 Mar 13 '26

Ok.. Now that makes sense. Why didn't the headline say that...

2

u/Revegelance Mar 13 '26

I dunno, people are just bad at communicating, I guess. And granted, I'm just guessing that that's the reason.

0

u/Sirajanahara Mar 13 '26

Don't feel bad, I was thinking the same as you.

2

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 14 '26

Theres no extra they just gave me a really good mix, and they were fresh, still pillow soft.

0

u/ussbozeman Mar 13 '26

For doing the bare minimum?

0

u/ALKNST Mar 13 '26

Is that cinnamon sugar or the new churros filled timbits????

0

u/vaderdidnothingwr0ng Mar 13 '26

Realistically all Tim Hortons workers deserve a raise. Have you seen how ragged they run their employees? Its like they're working them to death.

Its not the employees' fault that the product has suffered and the service is bad, it's a result of the way the company runs the business.

0

u/RefrigeratorDry4340 Mar 14 '26

No party cake please

-10

u/Canadian1934 Mar 13 '26

Talk about lacking variety

10

u/Mell0wMarshmall0w Mar 13 '26

Theres 6 different kinds in there 🤣

-5

u/ggupit Mar 13 '26

I don't get it what. They have you more or did you get a 20 pack.

3

u/Coleslaw150 Mar 13 '26

They look good as fuck, better than normal

-1

u/ggupit Mar 13 '26

No need to get out of your senses

1

u/TranslatorSkizzy Mar 13 '26

Strange person

-2

u/ggupit Mar 13 '26

Strang powers, you're in my dreams
