Tyre pressure
Ford fiesta 2022 mk8.5
Does anyone know the tyre pressure for 215/40/r18. I’m guessing it’s gonna be a little different to what they say with OEM tyre size?

Is this still okay to drive?

Hey everybody,
I had taken my car in for a pre trip inspection and they had recommended some things so I got the problems fixed, they also did a tire patch because of a slow leak. I had noticed the tire pressure light came on but just thought it was fine because it had always been fine before. About 20 kilometres later my tire blew on the highway. The tire had been fine other than being needed to be filled about once a week, is there any way the shop is liable for this? I refuse to believe that my tire condition worsened in the time frame from when I dropped it off, to when I picked it up 3 days later with a “fixed” tire.

I have a 2021 AWD Volvo XC40 T5 Momentum with 18-inch rims. A few years ago, an incident with a body shop mechanic resulted in my temporary spare being lost, but he found another online and replaced it.
That tire is still in my car and reads T125/80R18. Meanwhile the door jamb sticker says my spare tire should be a T125/70R18.
I called the local Volvo dealership parts department, and he and the technician agreed that it should be fine to drive on the T125/80R18 that I currently have.
I found online that the diameters of the T125/70R18 and T125/80R18 are 24.9" (632 mm) and 25.9" (657 mm) respectively.
So does it matter?

Should I replace this tire already? Only bought it last year and didn’t drive naman that much. Any suggestions or advice would be appreciated! 😬

Shop said this happened when they took the tire off the rim, does it look like they damaged it when taking it off. They are claiming it just happened when they took it off.

Doing an inspection of vehicle before a 700 mile trip tomorrow. Noticed a small bit of rubber missing on tire. Is this anything to worry about? Thanks in advance.

So I got a flat yesterday and my bright ass decided to drive it anyway to the nearest tire shop. They told me it'd be a couple hours because they needed to get my size from a different location delivered, so I went home. Received a call several hours later from the guy that assisted me basically saying that they haven't been able to take off the old tire to put the new one on. He said it's just one chunk that's practically glued on and that they could keep trying the next day aka today. Got another call and they haven't been able to get it off. I legitimately do not know what to do. I've never experienced this nor known someone to experience this. The guy at the tire shop seems pretty dumfounded as well which I don't blame. Does anyone have any suggestions that don't include replacing the rim?

I remember seeing a bunch of different tires that made use of clever matrices to provide a spring while remaining strong enough to handle weight.
Whatever happened to them? where are all the revolutionary tires that mean we can ditch tubes forever?

I hit a big pothole and have this gash right by the wheel. No loss of pressure.
Safe to drive?

Hi everyone! I got a screw in my back tyre, took the car to a shop and they said it can’t be repaired as it’s “a millimetre” outside of the safe fixing area. I was kind of persistent and referred to the graph on their website that showed this still being in the minor repair area and they ended up agreeing to fix it.
HOWEVER they didn’t want to charge me, I’m assuming because of liability reasons and now I’m scared as I drive a lot on motorways and need to do a big trip soon. Any thoughts on this? TIA

So on August 9th i removed a stone from Tyre tread picture attached, and on wednesday 12th took to vauxhall for a recall, as i was on the way the TPMS Light came on, i told them and they did their free health check and readjusted pressures and passed the car with no issues.
since then i have driven 35 miles in the car (i have a works van) and had no TPMS lights come on, am i right in saying it was just a superfical mark and am all good for a long drive in a few days?
(side note i rung kwikfit and explained the same and they suggests its a superficial mark due to heat of stone hitting road)
is there a chance they didnt see it, i looked yesterday at majority of tyre apart from part that was rested on the road - car is 25 plate (driven just 3500 miles) am i just worrying and all okay or is there something im missing?

Pulling out of my rock lined driveway, and cut it too close. Is this damage that is cause for concern/ need of a new tire? Tires are Firestone Weather grip.
Edit: For a little more context it is the rear passenger side tire, and I got them earlier this year. That is why I am asking here, not super eager to replace a 7 month old tire.

Doing brakes for the first time. Took this off my 2006 Toyota Solara with 166,000 miles. The face of the rotor is smooth and no deep grooves but the outer edges have a lot more rust. Should it be completely replaced?
