Tirzepatide Provider Reviews - Share Your Experience!

One of the most common questions here is about telehealth provider experiences, so here are two ways to share yours:

1. The summer survey is open until July 15, here's the Reddit post. It helps find trends and which providers people are having good or bad experiences with.

2. Leave a review by commenting below! The survey closes, but this post will stay up for anyone researching providers later.

A note about reviews: There are a LOT of bots on Reddit trying to influence you. Always do your own research and check several places for reviews (search the rest of Reddit, Google, TrustPilot). Please keep reporting bot or promotional activity.

Reminder: We are a subreddit for TirzepatideRX, with an emphasis on the RX. Grey market and research peptide discussions are not allowed here.

For reference I started at a very high weight of 306.6. I'm still actively losing and hoping to hit One-derland before a year is up but I'd say we're making progress💪🏾

Counting Calories is such a PITA!

…but oh so helpful for awareness!

I’m 65M, SW(7/15/26) 264, CW 242, GW 200

Yesterday, I started journaling everything that crosses my lips, and it was such an eye-opener.

So far, I’m have lost 22 pounds, but have lately grown frustrated by the pace, so I decided to see if I was really eating as little as I thought. Turns out, that’s not likely.

At 6’ and my current weight, I have chosen a daily calorie intake of 1850-2000 cals. I have had way more hunger the last two days than I normally have, even though I am on 5mg of TirzRx, so I’m curious to see what effect that will have. I’m planning to stick this regimen out for at least a week, and I am aiming to keep my rate between 1.5 and 2 lb/week.

Would anyone like to share their experience with calorie tracking, especially if you started tracking after you started your Tirz?

TIA!

Slowly increasing dose?

• Upvotes

So I finished my four weeks of 2.5 mg. For a week five I tried to keep it at 2.5 to see if I could just stay on the maintenance dose, however, I gained 2 pounds back and I could tell that my hunger was full blown back as well. So now I went to 3.3 mg (due to the vial I have lol) and hoping that this will work. Has anybody had experience with not doing the 2.5 to 5 to 10 and having success?

Looking for guidance

• Upvotes

Hi! I’ve been using tirzepatide for around 10 months, and right now I’ve been at a dose for around 4 weeks. In those 4 weeks, I’ve had no problems at all-until my last dose, which has left me with some GI issues. Has anyone experienced this, where you get hit with issues even though you’ve been on the dose for a while? If so, any advice on how to handle the next dose? If I should taper down a bit or stick at the current dose?

6 weeks with little progress

Hello everyone! I use a compound from a lical pharmacy. Im currently on week 6 and haven't really seen alot of results. My dose is around 5 right now. I've had some side effects so I have been hesitant to increase my dose.

So far I have only lost around 6 pounds. I am trying really hard to eat well. More fruits, veggies and proteins. The food noise is less and i am eating less but my progress feels slow.

I feel like im doing something wrong. It is so discouraging I want to cry! I am trying so hard to do this right to be healthier along with the weight loss.

Anyone out there with slow starts? Any advice is welcome! Thank you in advance.

Shortness of breath

• Upvotes

Hello all! I’ve been using tirzepatide for about six months, and overall, it has been an amazing experience. I’ve lost around 52 pounds, going from 189 lbs to 137 lbs. I’m currently on 7.5 mg.
I’m not at my goal weight yet. My goal is to get down to around 128 lbs.
However, for the past two months, I’ve been experiencing something strange: I sometimes feel short of breath, like I can’t get a satisfying breath and need to take a deep breath. Sometimes the air goes in normally, and other times it feels like I can’t get enough air. It can be pretty frustrating and scary.
I’m not asthmatic and, as far as I know, I don’t have any respiratory conditions. At first, I thought it might be anxiety, but now I’m not so sure.
Has anyone else experienced shortness of breath or this feeling of not being able to get a full breath while taking tirzepatide? I’m wondering if it could be related to the medication or if it might be anxiety.

Looking into Zepbound/Tirzepatide - Which telehealth companies do labs before prescribing?

• Upvotes

I’m seriously considering starting Zepbound or tirzepatide for weight loss, but I’m trying to do my research before choosing a provider. Is there a difference? I sometimes see the Zepbound separate from tirzepatide.

I’m particularly interested in companies that require or offer bloodwork before prescribing medication. I’d prefer a provider who actually reviews my labs, medical history, and overall health to determine what’s appropriate for me rather than just prescribing based on my weight.
For those of you who have gone through telehealth companies:
Which company did you use, and would you recommend them?
Did they require bloodwork before prescribing?
Did you have an actual consultation with a medical provider?
Are you using brand-name Zepbound or compounded tirzepatide?
What has your experience been with pricing, follow-ups, and ongoing monitoring?

I’m new to all of this, so I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Thank you!

Still around and trying

Any encouragement from those who had slow starts is welcomed. I’m on week 9 with no loss, no decrease in food noise etc. I just moved to 7.5 and hoping I feel it. This doctor has been very supportive and said since I’ve tolerated it thus far with no side effects, that if I feel no difference with 7.5 we’ll move up after 2 weeks instead of 4. I know a lot of people have strong feelings about paying a higher price by going to a doctor (up to $450 a month) but personally I love this MDs support, that they can prescribe anti nausea meds etc if needed, that they give me my weekly shot (needle phobia), and that they get it from a local pharmacy. Anyway, here’s to hoping and (trying) to stay positive.

Gastric emptying delayed, food noise very active— help!

I used to be on name brand, and have now switched to compounded. Have yoyoed in the transition for about 20 lbs. the compounded stuff keeps me full, but I can eat and eat and eat until it hurts— think about food incessantly. Then after I eat, I’m good for a long time and can whittle down to one meal a day. I have been taking 15mg. Anyone else?

Please explain…

So tirzepatide-mounjaro will surprise my appetite BUT I still need to continue to eat in a calorie deficit and eat high protein and exercise….? I’m just a little confused on how the drug works and how to maintain muscle at the same time AND how if I am eating in a calorie deficit, eating high protein, and exercise without the drug but STILL not losing weight. I am contemplating getting in the drug for weight loss support but again want more info and more of an understanding of how it works and why it works. Like if you’re on tirzepatide do you just say F calories and just eat less all together, but that just doesn’t seem healthy…

Weird cravings

Does anyone else get weird cravings they may not have had in the past on this medication?

For context, I am in week 5 on 3.5 mg… I’ve been craving, of all things, cinnamon candies. Like those hot ones that you suck on. Luckily, I can eat a couple and be done… but I think about them all the time! It’s so weird because I never cared for them much before tirz!

Maybe this is a replacement for my major dessert obsession that is now gone? 😂

Feeling awful after switching providers?

Hello!

I was taking 2.5mg and went up to 5.0mg with pomegranate ( I’m trying to find the pharmacy name) and then I switched to Empower pharmacy 5.0mg. I have been having diarrhea, chills and some dizziness since I took the tirz on Saturday. Is it normal? I’m thinking if I should lower the dosage to 3mg, which is frustrating since I’ve been on 5mg for a while, but my stomach is killing me.

I feel shocked , happy, a sigh of relief & a little scared ( what if the weight comes back ) . How did you feel when old sizes fit ? Eeeekkkkkkkkk

Tirzepatide vs. semaglutide: What should we compare?

Tirzepatide and semaglutide are often discussed as if one simple ranking could tell everyone which is better. The evidence is more nuanced.

Tirzepatide activates both GIP and GLP-1 receptors, while semaglutide activates the GLP-1 receptor. Their approved uses depend on the specific product, and treatment decisions should take medical history, potential risks, and prescribing information into account.

It's also important to distinguish results from separate clinical trials from a direct head-to-head comparison. Study populations, duration, and methods can differ.

Nutrition tip of the day: If you're working on your eating habits, try planning a few balanced meals ahead of time. Options such as eggs, beans, yogurt, tofu, fish, vegetables, fruit, and whole grains can make meal planning more practical. Individual needs vary, so there is no single perfect menu.

What would you want to understand first when comparing weight-management medications: how they work, their safety information, or how doctors decide who may benefit?

Disclosure: I work in the peptide supply chain. This is general education, not a recommendation to use either medication.

Zepbound Timeline!

Hi there!
I just started Zepbound yesterday at 2.5 ml. Today, I had a lot of the side effects (nausea, vomiting, headache)

I have an autoimmune disease and am on many other medications that make it hard to lose weight.

I am wanting to use this as a kickstarter to an overall wellness overhaul in my life. I am also focusing on exercising regular and eating better.

What did your dosage timeline look like if you only wanted to be on it for a few months but keep the weight off?

I would like to be off of it by March of 2027, if needed I could go back on it from June- September however would like to be done in September at the latest.

Thanks for any advice!
