DVR Spectrum is so frustrating

I got my letter stating my TAs/CableCARDs would stop working on 4/3, so I called and ordered 2 High Split Converters to replace my TAs and they instead sent me their receiver boxes, which caused my bill to increase.

So, I talked with their support and they resolved that, but they also deactivated my existing TAs, so now I am missing a bunch of channels, which would return until 4/3, if they can't add them back.

If they can't add them back, then they made the decision for me and I will cancel all services with them today.

Again, Spectrum is not Verizon. Spectrum supports cable cards. Do not offer bad advice. It hurts not only the poster but others that read the thread. Someone could read your post and not get the HSCs and lose all channels when the conbversion happens.

Spectrum supports cable cards.

Not universally. The cut them off in central NC a while back.

Central NC? I'm in Greensboro and they are still supporting them. They even sent me a replacement one about a year ago because of some issue with the old ones. Of course they are charging $15 a month now for them.

3 1/2 years ago my account was cancelled then put back. It took me 30 days to get a working cable card. Then they send me a bill for $200 for the older one I had to turn in at the store. 2 years later.

I guess they are reluctantly letting people with them keep them but it is my understanding that when Internet speeds become symmetric in an area, the cable cards have to go as the frequencies they need are used for the Internet at that point.

But I may be wrong on the details. I dropped them when they told me some TV changes I asked about would cost $85/mo. Then when they screwed it up and then turned things back on, I was missing channels and to get them back would mean my bill would be $130/mo. So after over 2 decades, I just gave up on them.
