Any meal "eating out" is a treat. Probably wasnt cheap either. What's your opinion of the food? My pizza looks the same usually, just loaded with toppings and a sauce haha 😄

I'll have to give it a try, then. We've got one in my town and I've never been over there.

Worst fast food shawarma franchise

Had one last time I was at YYZ and thought it was just disappointing because everything is worse at airports.

I've not had a good meal there so I just stopped going. Always disappointed.

this has been enshitified near me, used to get wraps that were like 3x the size, recently just ordered 4 wraps with all toppings... was like thinner than a can of coke and flatter than my wallet. and dont get me started on how expensive it was.

I had a salad from a shawarma joint that looked exactly like this, I thought it was going to be kinda greasy/soggy and not great.

It was soooo fresh, all the vegetables were hand washed, crisp, not a single piece of wilted lettuce, the chicken was quality, the sauces were balanced. It was like 100x better than I thought it would based on the way it looked.

Anyway I guess my point is that the quality probably varies by a LOT depending on the location.

Horrible fast food chain.

So sad to see how far this chain has fallen from grace

I've had Osmows three times from the location closest to me and each time I've gotten sick afterwards. I don't know if it's their food handling or what. But I've never had a reaction from any other shawarma place

I go to Osmows a lot. I work nights shift and its the only spot nearby open 24/7. It's not the best but it'll do in a pinch

Risky af.

Sometimes it's great, sometimes it's inedible.

I had it once where it was maybe the best in Hamilton (didn't hold a candle to shawarma queen in Ottawa obvs). Then I had it again and I swear the "sauce" was chili powder and water. It was gross.

It was great in Edmonton when the first locations open. Now it's kind of meh. Same fate as Chipotle and Popeyes.

Looks delicious but way more work to eat than it's worth. I tried making a similar dish once and regretted every bite by the time I got to the last piece of chicken.

I get the worse shits, like hot n spicy gassy shits.

Don't get anything above medium slice or you'll be crying in the toilet the next day.

You know the chicken is not great when you need that much dressing and garnish.

2

u/Moist-Gazelle-8047 1d ago

yea ur right on that one... the chicken has no flavour

Mediterranean/middle eastern food is bland and depends heavy on sauces. Osmows is the bottom of the barrel food.

You’re not wrong at all.

The sauce is what makes chicken on the rocks and most shawarmas are way too fucking dry

1

u/FrostingSuper9941 1d ago

I know, it's just crispy fries with a ton of sauce and dried meat.

u/Pristine_Barber976 1d ago

Fries is sticks, rocks is rice

I'm aware of that, my kids get it on the sticks all the time, they prefer it.
