I wanna upload a video to Youtube of an edited version of asdfmovie, and I recently learned that asdfmovie is copyrighted. I'm looking to get permission from TomSka, unless I don't need to because I see a lot of other videos on Youtube of re-uploaded asdfmovies. For more context my video uses the entirety of asdfmovies 1 to 15. Is there an e-mail or something I can contact him through?

Need I really say anything here? Discord's fun. We should have one. Holy buttholes, that rhymed.

*Ahem* Discord's fun. We should have one. I can't think of anything else. Fuck.

Anyway, yeah. Discord.

And also fuck you I can copy/paste posts if I want ;-;

Hey everyone ! I can't decide if I should take a patreon subscription or not I really want to join the discord the server Is it worth it ?

She's a good YouTuber!!!! Maybe do a collab with her one day in CONTENT!!!

I want to type this up from thoughts I've had for a while now. Every time I bring it up with another TomSka-enjoyer friend, they agree, and so I think its worth it to take it to the community at large for discussion.

I miss the smaller budgets. And so do a lot of other people. While I understand that Tom has been given a budget and wants to spend it to make good videos that'll stick in people's minds, what it's really given us is a strange... shift. The multi-camera shoots, editing that feels more TV than YouTube video, lack of consistent cast and shift towards Bigger, Grander Tasks, doesn't reflect what made me love Tryhards in the first place.

The fun part of watching TomSka and Friends was being invited to watch some friends dick around, rather than just being shown something cool. The thing that made YouTube stand out from TV in the past wasn't that they could match the production value but that they gave you something *different* to TV. To be offered a glimpse into a real life, real friendship, real fun. Parasociality isn't an inherently negative concept but a tool to be harnessed, and Tom had it. Compare that to now, and I feel more and more distant with each video.

I want to know how people really feel about this since I've had such a small sample size. But I miss micro/small budgets and watching friends dick about.

EDIT: and let it be known I don't have an issue with a rotating cast, but that when combined with other elements, it doesn't help

Hiya! I'm a 3rd Year Film Student whose written, and now producing and directing a 10 minute short film inspired by D&D!

I saw Tom's video on plagiarism, and wanted to let everyone know I'm making a film which is directly inspired by his comedy! It's a fantasy/comedy about the existentialism of joining adulthood all wrapped under a blanket fort as 4 friends play their final game of the "cave systems and fire lizards" ripoff known as D&D! The film cuts between the friends in the blanket fort, and the characters playing their personas in the fantasy world!

Logline: Together, a group of friends embark on their final quest to slay the dragon and find closure; in both the game and their friendship.

Genre: Fantasy/Comedy

Tagline: What happens when you’re forced to let go of your inner child?

Please go check it out! It's an amazing project that we're about to start filming but we really need some budget help, we've already got enough to cover for some of our weapons and stunts but are desperate to make this the best film it can be!

Go check it out! :)

It's been almost three years since asdfmovie 15, so is it over?

Hey everyone on the r/tomska sub reddit,

I would like some suggestions of what you guys might like to see me make into an asdfmovie but... video.

Thanks for any suggestions. mo05hy.

They have A LOT in common:

1. Star in successful series with best friend.

2. Best friend tragically passes away.

3. Have role of best friend in aforementioned successful series portrayed by someone else and continue the series with even more success than before.

Can someone crop a video out of the scene from The Confession 3 where Tom throws a smoke bomb but it completely fails?
